Aspenpaw--no, Aspenfang now, walked happily towards the apprentice's den. Her tail swished happily back-and-forth as she stuck her head into the den, a wave of nostalgia washing over her. She had spent seasons sleeping in the den, seeing as her apprenticeship lasted an unusually long time, and it felt weird going back as a warrior. "Ravenpaw!" the russet tabby called out into the den, "time to wake up, it's time for training!" grinning ear-to-ear, Aspenfang sat beside the den and waited for her new apprentice to wake up.

Ravenpaw was awaken by his mentor and his eyes slowly open, "Yeah.. I will be there in a sec." His vision blurry from lack of sleep he shakes his head and bangs it onto the ground a few tomes. He pushes himself to his feet and slowly works his way to the entrance. "Hi... Sorry about that." He says awkwardly

[Aspenfang]

"No problem," the russet tabby warrior mewed cheerfully, then stood up and began to walk towards the fresh-kill pile, beckoning with her tail for Ravenpaw to follow. "Come on, let's go get some breakfast before we head out," she mewed with a smile.

Shaking his head Ravenpaw follows her out and meows "What's you favorite food?" forgetting her name for a moment he frowns as he tries to remember

"Oh, um," Aspenfang tipped her head to the side in thought as she picked out her breakfast, "probably wren? I like fish too, but probably just because we don't get it here often," the tabby picked out a plump field mouse for her breakfast. She didn't want to eat anything that would take too long to eat.

[Ravenpaw]

HE tilts his head to the side "Fish? Interesting... I like vole and mice." As he finishes his sentence he picks out a small squirrel and starts to eat it. HE glances over at the mouse his mentor was eating and gobbles down his squirrel quickly

"Yeah, it's more of an acquired taste," the she-cat mewed with a chuckle. She knew that fish was more of an IceClan meal. Maybe she'd teach Ravenpaw how to catch them sometime, if he was interested that is. The tabby quickly finishes of her breakfast and waits for her apprentice to do the same. "Alright, you ready to head out?"

HE straights up and smiles in excitement, "Yes! What are we gonna do?" He bounces form paw to paw in excitement "Are we gonna do a tour or maybe hunting... ooo or maybe battle training! I can show you my crouch!" He drops into a battle crouch, his whole right side is slumping to the side due to lack of experience

The tabby warrior grinned at her apprentice's enthusiasm. "Well, I was thinking I'd take you out for a quick tour of the territory and then we can do either battle or hunting training; you can choose," she smiled and began padding towards the entrance of the camp, chuckling at bit when Ravenpaw dropped into a battle crouch. She steadied him out with her tail, "a little sloppy, but a good start."

Raventail smiles excitedly and grins "I want to do battle training!" Coming up from his crouch he says "is it good for a starter's crouch?"

[Aspenfang]

Aspenfang inspected the apprentice's crouch for a few seconds. "Looks pretty good to me," she mewed, making a mental note to help correct his stance when they did battle training later, "for a beginner at least. I can help you make a few adjustments later on when we're doing battle practice, but for now we should head out into the territory; best to be out and about before the FireClan patrols hit the borders. It's easier to smell the scent of other clans on the borders then." The russet tabby beckoned Ravenpaw with her tail as she headed towards the camp entrance.

Onyxpaw smiled and says "Ok... but will the other clans smell really bad?" H looks up at her as he follows her out og camp
