Return of the sparrow [O]

[Sparrowpaw]

The sun was starting to set as a pale tabby entered the camp, her fur messy and eyes staring at the ground as she walked towards the fresh-kill pile. She choose a vole for herself and took a seat. 'I wonder if Nightsong and Ripplefur are still around. It's been forever since I've seen them.' The she-cat started to enjoy her meal. Soon when she was finished, the tabby started grooming her ruffled pelt. She sighed and curled her tail around her paws and scanned the camp with a pair of amber eyes

[Flintpaw]

Flintpaw came barreling out of the apprentice's den at the sight of his sister. He hadn't seen her in such a long time! She had always seemed to be busy, but now she was sitting by herself. He skidded to a halt in front of her and almost tripped on his own paws. "Hey Sparrowpaw! Want to share tongues? I have a lot to tell you."

[Sparrowpaw]

Sparrowpaw blinked 

Her amber eyes locked onto the tom as she groomed her pelt. She recognized the tom. It was her own brother, Flintpaw. "Flintpaw, it's been so long since I've seen you." Sparrowpaw exclaimed. "Sure I'd love to share tongues."

[Flintpaw]

Flintpaw plopped down next to her and began to lick his paw, then swiped it over his head. "So, since Ripplefur is always so busy and doesn't seem to care about me.." His eyes narrowed for a moment in annoyance, but he continued in his cheery tone anyway. "I asked Dapplecloud to help me train." He brightened. "She taught me how to hunt with a partner and we caught a bird together!" The apprentice smiled at his sister but his tail twitched. "I hope that she becomes my mentor after she's done with Whitepaw. He's almost a warrior now and it's hard to share such a great mentor."

[Sparrowpaw]

Sparrowpaw remembered when she had asked their father Ripplefur about how it was like to be a warrior. 'He said it was stressful so maybe that's why he was not training Flintpaw.' Sparrowpaw felt sorry for her brother. "Who's Dapplecloud, I've never met her before. Is she friendly?" The tabby asked before her ears pricked up to hear his response.

[Flintpaw]

"She's a calico warrior who's very friendly. I played with her once when I was a kit and I had always hoped Cloverstar would pick her as my mentor." Flintpaw only shrugged at that memory. "I'm doing fine on my own though." He finally paused, but it was only for a few seconds. "How's your training going?"
