|| Silentkit - I'm so sorry this is so late aaaa ||
Hailspirit knew that one of her kittens was mute, or so she was told. She also knew it would be harder to communicate with him, but she would try her best. She didn't want him to feel left out of anything.
She relaxed outside of the nursery, sniffing the air every now and then for his scent. There was no use in trying to hear his voice, so this was all she could do. 'I hope he's around. I need to spend more time with him.' Then a thought entered her mind. 'Though I can't hear his voice, he can hear mine, right?' "Silentkit?"

Silenkit lay boredly in his nest. The tabby had found that playing with other kits was hard when you were unable to speak, so he ended up spending a lot of time alone. Not that he didn't have any friends, he had met a kitten named Flutterkit just the other day. Still, he got a little frustrated with always having trouble communicating with others. The tom-kit's ears perked up at the sound of paw-steps. He grinned when he spotted his mother, padding up to her when she called for him. He made sure to approach loudly, so that she was sure to heat him. Tail curling happily, he pressed his nose to Hailspirit's shoulder.

Hailspirit listened closely to the sound of approaching pawsteps, purring when her son's scent matched up to it. She bent down just a little, giggling softly when she felt a small, cold nose against her shoulder. "Hey there." She tried to give him a few licks on the head, then sat back. She smiled warmly, turning her head in his general direction. "Are you having a good day today?"
