Jaykit grumbles to himself as Fawnkit rounds on him. He doesn't move or balk this time though, he looks Fawnkit in the eye and allows all his emotions to pour into them, sadness and hurt, admiration and worship, heartbreak and terror. Everything he's felt with this kitten, just seeped out of his soul.
"Do you think I'm just a worthless ball of fur that can't have a life because you are mad at yours?" He asked, following her as she goes to climb the tree nearby.
"Do you think you would like it if it was the other way around, if I was in your paws, and you were in mine?"
He scrambled up the tree after Fawn, and stuck his tail out for balance, hoping Fawnkit wouldn't brst and push him off.
"Fawnkit, you said yourself you didn't have friends, well let me be yours." He was NOT going to give her up, not when he'd come so far.

(I can really see a plot here. Like when they get older, they are friends or something, and he's the only one that can sort of, quell her bad attitude. And she just keeps trying to push him away cause that's sort of how I see her being once she's older. Yup, I think we'll have to plot with these two after this depending how it goes.) At his words, the child spins around so fast she has to dig her claws deep into the bark so she doesn't fall out. Why won't he just give up? Does he really think this is worth the effort? 'Of course he doesn't. He's trying to gain your trust so he can crush it, isn't that how things work?' Narrowing her Amber eyes to slits, Fawn lashes her tail fiercely. "Not once did I say that. Now leave me alone." Her voice comesnout in a threatening snarl, yet he remains unflinching. In fact, he leaps up into the tree to join her. So much for that plan.
After a single attempt at trying to hide away in the branches, she finds herself fully aware that such a thing isn't going to work. He's too persistent. He must really want to crush her badly. "If I were in your paws, I would completely ignore me and go find someone more worthy to play with. She responds coldly, turning her head away to hide whatever emotions were trying to filter into her gaze.
When he still fails to leave, she turns her glare directly onto him until he opens his ratty little mouth and speaks, each word hitting Fawn like a slap. She waits till he finished, before turning her head to scowl down at the ground, relishing the sick feeling that she could fall any moment. She finds herself liking tempting fate, almost considering leaning forward to see if she'd fall. Probably not the best plan of action. She straightens up and instead stares straight ahead. After a long pause, she responds to the other child. "In casenyou haven't noticed, I don't have friends for a reason, and I don't want any. Go find someone else. I'm not worth the effort." Her voice isn't as sharp as before, yet it's clear she doesn't plan on budging an inch.

(hey that is really cool! Do you want to do that? I think he'll win her over, maybe?)
Jaykit watches her temp fate on the branch, looking down, wondering to let go. He narrows his large eyes, not making any movement. He stays like that as the tiny thing rants until it glares at him, obviously done. He is slamm, but stubborn.
"You are. You are worth it, like everyone else is. So what if you don't like how you are, but it it's who your family and everyone else sees you. You can pretend, but only for so long. Let me be your friend, let it show that you aren't how you think."
He gazed into her amber eyes, searching for any sign of warmth or acceptance. This moment could change their fates.

(Hmm, I think he might have to give up this time round and try again later. But he has got a shot.) He's stubborn. Determined. Far too persistent for his own good. He's basically the complete opposite of her in every way possible. Which clearly means they cpshoukd avoid each other at all costs, which is exactly what she plans on doing after today. Fawn can't help but eye this cat warily as he hears her out patiently before getting his own say in, trying his best to contradict everything she says and bring doubt to the surface of her mind. She shoves it back down and continues to glare at the ground irritably.
He's searching he gaze, looking for any sign of warmth and approval. For weakness. He's looking for things that aren't there. Yet with each motivational thing he says, her own gaze softens, and she can't help but want to go to him. To accept him as a friend like he's so adamant that she should. He seems so friendly, so willing, so sincere. All he wants is to be her friend, and she almost wants to give him that. But she can't.
Hardening her gaze and replacing her mask, Fawn tears her gaze away from his and takes a steadying breath, steeling herself. She's really not cut out for this. Yet she needs to be strong, and turn him down. Again and again until that precious spirit of his breaks and he finally relents. Only then will she allow herself any possible form of emotion. Yet not now. Reassuring herself that what she's about to say is right, she lifts her head and forces herself calm, not allowing her voice to quiver once. "I'm sorry, but I can't. I'm afraid you're just going to have to put up with it. You can't have everything."

(yeah, poor, innocent Jay)
Jaykit let out a slow, long breath, his composure finally breaking. He blinked a couple of times to rid the tears that threatened to spill, and nodded once, not meeting Fawnkit's steely amber gaze, for if he did, he would surely collapse.
"Alright, Fawn..." He mewled, beggining to back away slightly, eyes searching for the rout down out of the tree. "Just know I wont give up. I'll be there for you, don't forget. I wont let you get away with hating yourself."
He scrabbled down the tree and thumped on the ground, his paws and heart stinging from what had occured. He cast a despaired glance back to Fawnkit, promising to try again and again. He turned and ran back to his nest and slumped down, the tears finally running free. He sobbed and soobed until he couldn't.

Fawn nods, glad he'd finally backed off. She refuses to allow herself to look at him as he backs away and offers one more attempt at changing her mind before following her request. She waits patiently until he has touched the ground before peering down and watching him leave. She'd stay here a while longer before heading in. She didn't want to go back inside, upset or otherwise. Yet she knew she had to, if only not to worry her mother and two younger siblings.
(Short parting post, lol)
