{} Shadowpaw {}
It was almost noon, about 10:00 a.m. if these kitties had watches. The sun was out, mostly high in the sky and shrouded in plenty of blankets of gray clouds. Just little, glowing rays of sunshine were able to squeeze out of CloudClan's warm nest of feathers up there. The wind was strong earlier today, making the already mild weather absolutely chilling with the biting breezes on the prairie.
But the best part wasn't imagining the gray cloud cover as CloudClan's giant nest prepared for leaf-bare. And it wasn't because of the fact the wind had died down.
It was because it was snowing. The first snow day of the season.
Well, it wasn't technically snow. It didn't stick to the ground, the white speckles minature and disappearing upon hitting the earthy tones below her paws. Sticking her tongue out and catching a few snowflakes didn't leave a taste-- it was almost like she kept missing her mark, and was not catching a single snowflake in the first place.
Wait-- snowflakes did have a taste, right?
Currently, the Turkish Angora apprentice was out in the territory, by herself. Sitting in the grass and eyes staring up in awe at the falling flakes and silver skies.
It was breathtaking, to say the least. Especially for Aphyllapaw, who had never seen snow. She was born in new-leaf, only knowing the warm breeze and scent of flowers in the air, followed by the intense heat of green-leaf.
She knew nothing of the cold.
But it still fascinated Aph.
"So pretty...."

Despite his calm indifference for most things, Shadow couldn't help but be curious about the territory. And this curiosity gave him a strange need to explore. This was something the young tom didn't commit to often, but was highly good at. He enjoyed the adventure of navigating something he knew little about without a guide, teaching himself all there was to know and more. Which was why he found himself wandering the territory alone despite the harsh bite of cold accompanying early leaf-bare. Yet surprisingly, now that the wind had died down, it was admittedly...pleasant. The thought brought an almost conspiratorial smile to Shadow's face.
This strangely rare expression fell and turned merely polite at the sight of another apprentice. He didn't know this feline well, so he would remain merely friendly until he got to know her. He did, however, keep his smile as he approached her. A light snow had begun to fall, and though it was surprising, he didn't really react to it. If he was still on his own, or with his sister, he might have mucked around a little, maybe allowed his smile to widen or a slight chuckle to escape him. Yet here he merely kept any emotion other than polite friendlyness hidden and dipped his head in greeting to the other feline. "Hello, Aphyllapaw. First snowfall?" It was his first too, though he'd only answer the question after her. Whiskers twitching slightly, he takes a few more light steps to join her where she's seated, tucking his tail over his paws to lessen the cold's harsh bite.

(aaaah I thought I replied to this thread actually >_< sorry it's late!!)
Aphyllapaw jumped a bit, startled by a voice close by. She turned wide bluebell eyes onto the speaker, only yo recognize Shadowpaw. "Oh-- Shadowpaw! You scared me!" she giggled, using her tail to brush over a seat beside her, gesturing for Shadowpaw to sit. And he did, only widening the smile that had bloomed on Aph's face. "Why yes, this is my first snowfall. I was born in new-leaf when the snow was just melting, so I knew what it was like... but not a real snowfall."
The Turkish Angora turned back to the sky, and with a cheery expression, stuck out her tongue again to catch more snowflakes.
