@roselightning Fawn had found that her fire was renewed with the rising of the sun. That and all her insecurities. Jaykit was one kitten whose opinion mattered not to the golden child. Or at least that was what she'd managed to convince herself. Again she recieved, dreamed, and even imagined sour judegemental looks as others laugh at her hieght when by all means they could very well be laughing at some joke between friends. 'Friends. Such trivial matters.' She reminds herself, shaking off the longing for one such thing. She couldn't trust them, anyway. And she didn't need anyone's pity, either. If anything, her small size could be a good thing, right? Besides, the very fact she survived is a clear sign she's meant for something important. She may just be a kit now, but she'd soon be remembered for something important. And one day she would be worhpshipped. A clan leader, even. That was her goal, and she would fight for it. Even if she only became deputy, or a very important warrior, she would be remembered.
Yet for now not even she could convince herself she's any more important than a lowly kit. Yet still, that did not stop her from pretending. She may be the smallest kit in the whole nursery, and probably the easiest to upset, but she would force them to respect her. Even if, for now, she sat within the nursery contemplating exactly what to do. Any normal kitten would no doubt be playing some sort of foolhardy game in which they can feign importance and make friends. Friends. Her mind spits the word like a curse, and she scowls at the ground reminding herself such trivialities are pointless until that unnatural yearning for attention dissipates once more. What folly. Yet she sound finds herself snapped out of her thoughts by the sound of an approaching feline, and casts them a glare so venemous one would have to be stupid to misinterpret. "Looking for something?"

Rosekit found she wasn't very patient. She was basically apprentice aged, so she was wondering why she wasn't an apprentice yet. Was there an extra requirement aside from age she wasn't aware of? Well, if there was, it'd probably be in the warrior code, right? But what if someone didn't tell her something?!
This predicament led to the young light-furred she-kit pacing back and forth in front of nest, looking irritated for all to see. If anyone looked her way, she glared at them, feeling rather cranky. The nursery was starting to feel small, like a prison. It was like she was trapped into the camp and the nursery was simply her cell. It agitated her. Was she not good enough to become an apprentice to one of the warriors of Treeclan?! No. She had to be good enough, right?! She wanted to prove she could be a great warrior. She wasn't sure who she was trying to impress... But... She knew she needed to.
Then suddenly as Rosekit was at one end of her pacing route, someone snapped and glared at her, viciously. Other kits might be cowed. Rosekit was an impatient, cranky kitten with somewhat of a temper. Her fur bristled. "No! And what's your problem, weirdo?!"
((wow. great start))

(I must say, Rose really doesn't suit the title much. lol) The one thing Fawn had least expected was a retort. Not that she hadn't had anyone snap back, but certainly not instantly. In fact, the least perturbed reaction she's ever gotten was annoyance. Yet then again, she knew little to none about social interaction, seeing as she was actively avoiding basically anything that moves, and this cat really outpght to be an apprentice in all honesty. Yet despite these facts, the other's reaction took the tiny kitten by surprise, and her eyes widen a hint before hardening once more as her cold mask falls back into place. She would not be swayed by this kit, that was for sure. And so she merely holds her gaze as best she can - considering the major height difference - and keeps her glare steady, offer a slight lash of her tail.
"Humph! I'm the weirdo, am I?" She questions sharply, something shifting in her gaze. Thinking back to the other's predicament, she allows a smirk to slip through her cold demeanour. "You're the one pacing up and down the nursery like a crazed lunatic." Her eyes glitter slightly at that, trying not to allow herself to register the slight peircenof guilt. This cat had insulted her instead of backing away, she certainly deserved the jab, if nothing else. The small golden child watches her new sass companion for any hint of a reaction she could use against her. This was what she needed after Jaykit, someone to challenge her wit.

((Yeah it really doesn't fit her that much
Rosekit found herself looking down at a much younger kit. Jeez, was this kit tiny. Must not be very old then. She noticed how the brat seemed a little surprised, before suddenly most emotion drained out of the tiny's kits face. Regardless, Rosekit's ears folded back as she refused to back down. While she was aware she was facing a much smaller kit, Rosekit was a temperamental, mildly stubborn young kit. She was impatient, cranky, and felt trapped. Perhaps she knew that it wasn't brave to be so nasty to such a smaller kitten, but she didn't particularly care. This kit was rude first! Gah! Still. Pondkit had been way worse than this tiny brat.
"Yeah! You are a weirdo! Who suddenly glares at someone before they've actually done anything?!" The smirk on the younger's face just spiked Rosekit's temper. You could see she was desperately trying not to hit, or otherwise physically harm the smaller kit. "I'm not a crazed lunatic! It's just I'm bigger and things aren't as spacious!" She snapped impatiently. Her tail lashed behind her.

Fawn for once doesn't find anything this kit is saying harmful to her. If anything, she almost wants to thank the other kit for her nasty retorts. It's a lot easier to feel fine about being mean when the other is being mean too. Jaykit's sad looks and persistent attempts to be her friend were merely a one off. Clearly, he diddnt take her not wanting his companionship seriously enough. She would make sure no one else would even be close to making that mistake. However, with this cat not only eyeing her down like she was some worthless rat, but also trying to spark up a sass match, Fawn couldn't help but realise this would be the perfect spchance to eptease her and maybe get a rise out of her. Then, perhaps, she might just gain the other's respect. Or at least convince her to leave her alone.
"Who would want to make friends with everything that moves? See, there are these things called...uh, I don't know, personalities. Perhaps you should run along and find one." She can't help her spreading smirk at that one. Of course, this wasn't really her full personality, she was a little deeper than that. But hey, this mouse-brain didn't need to know that. At the other's dilemma, the golden child raises a kitty brow in clear bemusement, now not even caring that she has to crane her head to peer up at this cat. She was older anyway, of course she was bigger. "Perhaps you should kiss up to Cloverstar then. Maybe she'll think you're worth being an apprentice if you fetch her prey and change her moss? I'm sure she'd appreciate the help what with running the clan and all." To be honest, it actually sounded like a pretty good idea. If Fawn actually wanted to be an apprentice and get bossed around by some egotistical warrior, perhaps she might have considered helping out the leader herself.

Rosekit's ears flattened. "Who said anything about friends?" She returned, annoyed, her ear flicking. Then she looked at Fawnkit strangely. "I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you just insulted yourself." Not even Rosekit was dumb enough to end up insulting herself. That stupid smirk didn't help her opinion of the nameless small kitten. Seriously? Was she proud of herself for saying she didn't have a personality? She basically admittedly she was as interesting as a pile of rocks. That was just plain weird! Weirder than how weird Rosekit figured other cats thought she was. She'd seen the looks. So far, no one really liked her. Flowerpaw was too scared of her for some reason. Pondkit was mean. That other kit... What was their name? She couldn't remember, but they hadn't exactly stuck around either.
But she was fine. She didn't need friends. She'd be a great warrior and that would be that.
Rosekit growled as she lowered her head. "Do you have brain damage? We live in Treeclan." She huffed as she raised her head again. "Our leader is Spiderstar." She'd never met or seen the tom, but she'd heard about him.
((Is this whole encounter just going to be sassy remarks between two "Friends are lame and I don't need them" cats?

(Oh, whoops! I was in Rockclan mode! Umm...how do I fix this???) Fawn narrows her eyes slightly. This cat was probably the least interesting, most irritating feline she knew. Yet she wouldn't let it show whether or not this cat got under her skin, instead she just shrugs nonchalantly. "It was merely an example, stupid. It just seems that every kit around here is obsessed with making friends like their going to make the world all sunshine and rainbows. Haven't you been paying attention?" She smirks at the other, offering a slight roll of her eyes. As the other said something about insulting herself, Fawn thinks back to her words. No, she'd been insulting her. Oh well, if that what the other thought then clearly she is incredibly stupid. "No, I was merely stating you really don't have a personality, but however you perceive it is clearly only reflecting on you, not me." It so much easier to keep a light, unfazed tone with this cat, especially knowing her smirk was really ticking her off.
As the other went on to talk about their clan and leader in a rather condescending tone, the golden child allows her smirk to fall into a frown. What exactly had she said? Perhaps she'd gotten their leaders name mixed up by accident. She didn't tend to pay much attention to her words all the time, and she'd heard so many stories about old leaders and other clans, more so than she'd actually heard about Spiderstar himself. In fact, this was only the second time she'd ever heard his name. However, she allows her frown to pick up into that of a patient smile, like she'd seen the queens wear whilst handling a particularly irate kit. "Perhaps your hearing is a little off? Spiderstar is exactly what I said, maybe you should go see the medicine cat?" She says this correction so sincerely even she could believe that she was right and this other cat was wrong. Clearly, this conversation is a waste of her time.
"I must say, you're probably one of the most boring kits I've ever met. In fact, you're nonsense is actually lulling me to sleep." With this, she stretches her jaws in a yawn purely for show before resting her chin upon her paws, peering up at the other with half closed eyes. "Do keep talking, I find I sleep better to mundane chatter." Hopefully at least that will get a rise out of the other, and if not she'll just have to kick up her game. For now she merely closes her eyes and pricks her ears in order to keep listening to the other kitten.

Rosekit thought this might be the most irritating cat she'd met. Even moreso than Pondkit. This cat, whose name she didn't even have, seemed determined to prove to Rosekit that apparently she was a dull waste of space. Her fur bristled. She could tell that this cat was incredibly similar to Pondkit. Both thought she wasn't going to be anything. She wasn't worth anything. Honestly, she really had to fight against that belief, even in her own head.Yes, she still a kit. Yes, she wasn't an apprentice yet... But it'd happen! She'd show them and all and prove that she was a cat who deserved to exist. She wasn't anything that everyone seemed to think she was.Rosekit flattened her ears. "Well, excuse me." She muttered in response. Unlike many others, she had little interest in friendship. She didn't particularly want any friends, if cats were going to either be shivering like a leaf the whole time or be like Pondkit. Rosekit flattened her ears. "Well, I'd have to say the feeling's mutual. Do you even exist for any other reason to try and make everyone around you miserable?" She asked harshly, not holding anything back. If the other kitten wasn't pulling any punches, Rosekit wouldn't either. She hated that smirk. She didn't bother hiding her displeasure. Being dishonest was stupid.Rosekit then proceeded to stare at the other kitten. "... You sure you don't have brain damage?" She asked again, a clear skeptical tone in her voice. "You clearly said Cloverstar. No one has that poor of a memory. You're obviously backpedaling and trying to fix your mistake to make yourself look better, all the while hoping I won't notice." Seriously, Rosekit wasn't stupid. She wasn't deaf and blind to the cats around her. She could hear the confidence in the other kit's tone. Though, the complete lack of trust in the other kitten's everything rendered it useless.Rosekit sniffed. "And now you sound like a broken record..." She muttered as she turned around and began walking towards the nursery's entrance, not seeing the other kitten's lazy stance. "Go sleep, see if I care. I'm not benefiting from this and talking to you is clearly a waste of time, since you don't seem bothered to even try doing something productive...."
((Sure Fawnpaw . Though, technically... If you started a thread before a ceremony, you're free to take however long you want to finish the thread while RPing as your former rank.

(I think we end here...since she's walked off, Fawn isn't going to call her back, and they're apprentices now...)
