Jude didn't say anything out of fear of making it worse. 'All I did was make a comment. I should've known better.' He silently scolded himself, wrapping his tail around his paws.

Natalia didn't think she should be so sensitive... But then again, Jude was the one cat she's really opened her heart to. It was different with him. He knew her. Despite her attempts to give more cats a chance....

She didn't have any cats she could in full confidence she could call friends aside from Jude. Patch was nice... But their relationship was... Strange. She respected Pain and thought he'd make a good leader, but still they lacked a great many things that she had in her friendship with Jude.

She sighed as her tail wrapped and unwrapped around her paws, sweeping along the floor.

Jude flicked his tail around in thought. 'I need something to change the subject with...' "Have you gotten to meet this cat named Sky?" He asked with a tip of his head, trying to make eye contact with her again. He considered Sky a new friend, so he thought he'd might as well tell his closest friend about her. Maybe they'd get along.

[Natalia]

Natalia didn't say anything at first, still not looking at him. "Yeah." She replied monosyllabically. She didn't feel like talking much, even if the subject changed. Though... She had met Sky, the eyeless she-cat who was fairly new to Deathclan. Or perhaps she was settled in at this point and it had just been a while since their first meeting.

Jude huffed. She was still obviously feeling down, but at least he got an answer. He didn't give up on trying to meet her gaze. She'd have to look up eventually. "Is there anything I can do to cheer you up?" He asked softly, voice full of concern.

[Natalia]

Natalia still didn't look. "Probably nothing." She replied quietly. She didn't seem very receptive to Jude, even softening his tone as a means to provide comfort. She didn't want it. Sometimes she just wanted to be left alone. Whether that was the best thing for her, remained to be seen.

"Okay." Jude stood up slowly, giving his front legs a stretch. He looked up at the trees. Maybe he could go scare someone else. 'Like Sky. She wouldn't see it coming.' He tried not to smile at his stupid joke.

Taking a step closer to his friend, he gave her a quick nuzzle before heading off in the other direction. He was a little disappointed that he couldn't make eye contact, but oh well. He'd see her again.

Natalia didn't respond aside from nodding slightly as she heard Jude stand up. She didn't respond to the nuzzle, then she heard his pawsteps get farther and farther away. She sighed and slumped to the ground.

She didn't move for a while.
