Roots and Spices

[Spice ]

Root was starting to adjust with being by herself. She managed to meet a few cats too, learning that sometimes bad things happen for a reason. So that she could start off fresh. The youngling watched a grasshopper leap to and fro and she too, started pouncing around a patchy area of grass. She was happy, or more like content. Deathclan would do her good for now, and maybe one day she would even run into Dirt, wherever he was.

"Oh, wait, come back!" she called out to the grasshopper who made its way into a tree. "I wasn't done playing with you!" But she was too late. It was already gone, leaving the cat bored. She did not know what to do now. A bit scrawny she was, but at least she learned to ignore her hunger and start to have some fun. Just like the games that mama would teach her.

'I wonder if anyone here knew mama. But she said to only lets the ones I trust to know her name. I wonder why.' The tabby followed a trail of pine needles, only to then spot another cat. 'Who's that? How many cats are here anyways?'

[Spice]

Spice padded smoothly to and fro. She stopped her small ritual of ground covering as a young feline. A kit more procisly, played with a grasshopper. She grew amused and watched till the small creature hopped away leaving the kit alone. She gave a small purr. Hoping not to be seen as the enemy. "Hello, how are you this fine day?" tilting her head she smiled. "I'm Spice, you got a name?"

Root smiled back, glad to see that other cats around here tried to be friendly to her. Spice was an interesting name. "I'm good," she said, tilting her head like the other cat. "Yes, I do have a name. It's Root."

She was even more amused as she was copied a bit. "Well thats good, and what a cool Name." she smiled Root. it was orignal and kind of homie she liked it. Sitting down with a smile she added. "Is it okay if I stick around?"

Root was kind of proud when Spice complimented her name. But it confused her when asked if she could stick around? "Umm. . . if you want to?" she said, swishing her tail. "I was trying to play with a grasshopper earlier, but it went home."

She tilted her head. Giving a smile when she was indeed allowed to stay. She nodded "I saw, hey. I can play with you if you would like." Spice gave a warm expression she loved younger kittys and this one was just simply adorable.
