Floodgaze padded out of he camp without waiting for her apprentice. She'd already been inside the apprentice den to prod Hawkpaw awake, and was simply assuming he'd be fast enough to follow her and not get lost. She had made sure to bring a shrew with her though, since she was basically ensuring the young tom skipped breakfast. He could eat after they'd done some work for the day.
The black and white she-cat's ears pricked as she heard noise from behind. "Step up. We have a lot to do today."

Hawkpaw had been prodded, even though he'd already been roused on his own. It was mildly irritating, but at least it wasn't a sharp jab. He immediately rose and shook himself out, then following after Floodgaze. The female warrior seemed to wait for no man, so he even with his ruffled morning fur, he followed after her. When he'd caught up to her, the thought of breakfast finally caught up to him.

'... Incentive to work hard...?' He wondered.

Though, apparently he wasn't walking fast enough. He picked up the pace, feeling the burn in his legs from the most exercise they've seen in his entire life.

"Tell me about yourself," Floodmoon instructed over her shoulder. A wry grin split her features and she spared a glance at Hawkpaw. "Or, if there's nothing interesting to tell, let me know what it is you already know about our clan and the others."

She'd already set their course for Rockclan, and was keen to learn more about her apprentice as they walked.

As Hawkpaw walked behind Floodgaze, she seemed to want to know who Hawkpaw was... Or at least what he knew. "My parents are Fallenmist and Featherfrost. My father let loose a horrific screech the day we met him. I have many siblings. I haven't counted them. I like Berylkit. He's not noisy." He remarked. "I do not know much about other clans. I didn't talk to others much. I know that Fireclan resides within a prairie..." As he said this, he looked around. There sure was a lot of grass.
