Jude was on his way back to his den, worn out from the trip he'd taken with Spice. 'I didn't realize how far of a trek it was.'

It wasn't long before he reached one of DeathClan's larger clearings. He began crossing it, wanting to reach a smaller path that led off to where most of the dens were. As he was padding along, though, a foul odor wafted by. 'Patch.' He looked around, shooting her a glare when he spotted her. Huffing and shaking his head, he continued on his way. He was too weary to fight right now.

[Patch]

Patch was tired. She didn't get much sleep the night before due to fidgeting and thinking so much. She yawned and shuttered, her pelt feeling cold. Why was Leafbare coming so soon? She hated the cold.

The white she-cat sighed and made her way towards where her den was, a crow in her jaws. As soon as she saw Jude, she felt very uneasy about his glare. Still, maybe she can talk to him. Patch quickly buried her prey and almost hesitantly made her way towards Jude. "Um... Hey."

"Um... Hey."

Jude stopped in his tracks. He closed his eyes and moved his head down, debating whether to engage in a conversation with her or not. 'This was going to happen eventually. I guess I can't avoid her forever.' Taking a large sigh, he lifted his head and looked over at her.

"...What?" His voice was far from friendly.

[Patch]

The cold tone didn't catch Patch off guard, she had expected it, really. Her tail brushed the dirt on the ground, a little bit of dust in the air. "I... Was seeing how you were doing." She murmured, a note of fear in her voice. She was afraid of a repeat of last time.

He caught a sense of fear in her voice. 'Oh, please.' He thought sarcastically, snorting at her explanation. "How sweet of you." Why would she want to see how he was doing? 'I bet she wants a rematch of last time. She didn't really fight well.' He slid out his claws, wanting to be ready if this was the case.

[Patch]

Patch began to grown more nervous, seeing Jude's claws. She stepped back, her eyes slightly wide. "I'm being serious." She meowed, glancing down at the claws and back at the other feline. Her battered tail twitched.

Jude rolled his eyes at that. He knew that she was saying that just because she saw his claws. "There's no way you could possibly be serious. Why on earth would you care?" He couldn't wait to hear what dumb explanation she came up with this time.

[Patch]

Patch lowered her ears. He really did hate her. She didn't have too much of an explanation of why she even started this conversation. "... Um... I honestly was just curious. Also I wanted to see if you've seen Riverpaw at all, I haven't seen him at the barn in a while..." She didn't move at all, she just stood in the cold.

Jude frowned, shaking his head. "No, I don't go to the barn anymore so I wouldn't have." He then narrowed his eyes. 'She's still going there, isn't she?' "Why? What are you going to do to him?"

[Patch]

Patch flinched back, she grew a defensive expression. "Nothing! I just haven't seen him in a while and I worry. Plus, Pain told me to stop going over there, so I can't really check at all." She replied, raising her head.

"You're worrying about him? Since when have you had a heart?" He said with a growl, sighing when she went on. "Why are you just doing what he tells you? I thought you had more of a backbone than that."

[Patch]

Patch's ears flicked, nodding quickly. "Pretty sure I need a heart to live, you just haven't seen that." She forced a chuckle. "And... Pain got under my skin, he called me disloyal even though I was just following Dove's orders. Plus, if he does become leader, I wouldn't want to get on his bad side." She explained.

Jude dug his claws into the ground when she laughed. Her next words made him quickly snap at her. "Just following Dove's orders? You and I both know that's a lie. You were hanging out with Riverpaw before we were even sent to the barn." He huffed in agitation, tail lashing behind him. "I sincerely hope Pain becomes leader. I think it'd be easy to convince him to kick out all the traitors like you."

[Patch]

Patch took a step backwards. Her eyes narrowed at the tom. She avoided commenting on Jude's first statement, since it would probably just anger him more. "Both of those are true, 'cause I'm pretty sure the only reason Pain even talks to me all because of Nighthowl." She muttered.

((I swear whenever I think of Nighthowl, I just think of Zootopia. Thanks, Disney.

Jude snorted. "Nighthowl's your sister, right?" he asked, recalling Pain's words, "He doesn't even like you and you're doing what he says. No one likes you, for that matter." He stepped closer, growl in his throat growing louder. "And you know I especially don't like you. Will you do what I want you to, just like you do for Pain? Because I want you to die."
