Long Shadows(O)

[Ren]

Ren paced along the chilly paths. The faint rustle of aging and dying leafs and the crunch beneith made her lips twitch up in smile. Winter was near and with winter lots of unforseen things were to happen. She sighed. Spotting the creek of silvery water she padded until reaching the chilly mud bank. Savoring the icy feel of water down her throat she lick her lips when finished. She twisted around, some one was close.. Barking out she asked calmly "Who goes?"

[Atom]

Atom yawned as they walked. There was a whole lot around for them to do. They supposed that they should look into finding a permanent den of some sorts, but at the moment they weren't too interested in the idea. What they were interested in was the other wolves in the woodlands. So far Atom had met one, and he had been, interesting, to say the least. So when they caught the scent of another wolf by the water they shifted to walk closer to her. It seemed she caught them though. "I mean no harm to you, unless that's what you were looking for." Atom stepped out into the other wolf's line of sight and gave a small little grin.

[Ren]

The fur that had started to ruffle fell gently as the newcomer presented him self. She gave him a good look over before deciding he wasn't a threat. Her head dipped slightly to the left in a long since formed habit."I see there is no reason for a fight, I will gladly trade it for a conversation. Unless you of course wanted to disrupt today's peaceful manor." She gave a small smile what kind of wolf asks if another want to fight.

[Atom]

This new wolf seemed quite a lot nicer than Killer had been. Atom smiled and padded over to the water where they took a seat beside her. "No worries from me, darling. I wasn't hoping for a fight or anything." Atom told her as they bent down to lap up some of the water. They turned their yellow eyes to look at the femme. "So what's your name?" They asked. Atom didn't really mind how she acted so far. She was perhaps a bit formal, but so far she was nice.

[Ren]

-Haha you've met killer:p-

"I guess that will make our meeting much more enjoyable." Shifted as he joined her, she answered with out hesitation. "Rin," she gave a small smile. "And yours?" she returned it with a polite smile and warm expression. She was finding his company quite uplifting she only hoped her over trust in others wouldn't come back to bite her.

[Atom]

Now they had a name to the face. It was simple and pretty. Rin, that should be easy enough to remember. Atom smiled and flicked on of their ears back quickly. They titled their head slightly when Rin asked for their name. This wasn't a fight and she seemed fairly trusting, so what harm would it be if they didn't say their true name? "Noel. My name is Noel." Atom stated. It was a habit of Atom's to lie, but usually not about really important things, just about silly things like their name.

[Ren]

She tilted her head, was that hesitation? she wasn't sure but his answer hinted lie. Of course she didn't know why anyone would have to give a fake name so she only smiled. "You don't look like a Noel, but what a cheerful name" she grinned warmly. She tilted her head, allowing the sun peaking up above the trees rays."What brings you here this pretty morning?"

[Atom]

Rin's response to Atom's fake name made them smile. Had she perhaps realized the lie they had said? They shrugged and looked down at the water. "Thank you dear. I quite like you name as well. Easy to remember." They stated putting on as much of a cheerful composition as they could. Why were they there? Atom felt all of their warning bell's go off. They were prone to spying on others so hearing anybody ask even the smallest personal question made them wary. They tried not to show their apprehension though. "Ah, I only came here to get a cool drink. It was just a bonus to find you here." They lied. It was really the other way around. They came to see a new wolf and getting a drink of water was just a small bonus.

[Ren]

She felt that he was a bit reserved... She desided against commenting. After all it was not her place to judge or even know. "Well what a considence me as well. I'm glad fate had us bump into one another." She gave him and up and down look. He didn't scent of a pack so it was safe to bet he was like her. Loner. "Are you a loner for the adventure or for the silence? Sorry if you are of course a Loner"

[Atom]

Atom chuckled at her words. "What a wonderful way to put it." They stated. They had never really believed in notions such as fate and the likes, but they didn't really feel the need to tell her that. Her next questions almost surprised them. She was much more perceptive than they had originally thought. "Adventure I suppose. You?" They told her. They didn't bother to lie about this one. It was best to throw in a few truths as well. Atom wondered if they could make it into some sort of game with this wolf.

[Ren]

She nodded, she enjoyed her take on life. Though many saw it as foolish she almost thought he did regardless of his kind comment. Ears flicking at his next answer she was a bit cheerful. "Another consistence I suppose," she flashed a white smile. "I too find the life of adventure a pleasing one." smiling she wasn't sure where to go from there. A cool breeze rushed past them making there fur dance, the scent of pine grew thicker. She smiled this forest though strange was very interesting.

[Atom]

Atom took the silence that fell as a chance to take another drink from the water. The way that Rin interested them. They hadn't heard many speak the way she did. "What do you do to pass your time?" Atom asked after a prolonged moment of sitting in the quiet listening the the wind rustle the tree tops. Atom usually spent their time either gathering information about other wolves or hunting, but they figured they might get bored of only doing two activities so finding something else to do wouldn't be so bad.

[Ren]

"Besides adventuring or scouting I enjoy both running into wolves like your self and swimming." She smiled. Her gaze shifted to the stream, strange enough she has always like water, her wirey hair allowed a confertlbe swim and dry afterwords. Though few enjoyed her activitie she returned the favor. "And you, what do you do with your passtime?"

[Atom]

It surprised Atom when she said that she liked swimming. Atom had never tried it for pleasure, rather just as a way to get across a river. They guessed that it could be fun, as a way to cool off or something else, but they just didn't see the allure of it. "I don't have a whole lot I enjoy doing at the moment. I'm new here so I'm just settling down at the moment, but I've always enjoyed hunting. I suppose I also never really minded getting in fights too much." Atom thought for a second. The last fight they had been in had ended badly for them, leaving them with a wound on their shoulder that was still healing, but that didn't mean they didn't enjoy trying to get better. They had always enjoyed hunting for the stealth aspect of it. They were good at being quiet when they wanted to be.
