(@arwen)
So this is the main clearing huh? Stryx walked in circles around the clearing for what felt like hours. He was so bored he could feel his brain liquefying and draining out of his ears. That's disgusting, Stryx. I need to talk to someone, anyone. Or I am literally going to become anti-social, and that is the worst thing that can possibly happen to be outside of dying.
He flopped onto the ground with a grunt, back first against the bare, cold ground. "Life is so cruel." Stryx mumbled, staring off into the forest around the clearing. His eyes locked onto something. A cat. Great cloud cats above, SOCIAL INTERACTION!!!
"Hello there, I did not see you behind that blade of grass."

Arwen was bored. She had thought Deathclan would be full of adventures, and fighting, or at least something! I mean, Deathclan had death in its name, you would think it would be a little more interesting. She hadn't managed to make much conversation either, it seemed these cats had their heads too far up their arses to even notice her.
Arwen jumped in surprise as a voice sounded, hearing something about cruelty. Out of curiosity she moved forward, tilting her head. "What are you doing?" She snorted in amusement, not bothering to greet him back or get annoyed about the grass comment. She was tiny after all. He looked ridiculous, moaning like an idiot. It was quite humorous.

"Currently I am observing my future kingdom, obviously." Stryx replied, stretching his legs up in the air. "One day I'll be the ruler of this place, I don't know how." He rolled over onto his belly, ears flicking floating dust away. His royal blue eyes locked on this new cat. Another unfamiliar, this is fun.
It took a second to process that this female in front of him was another DeathClanner. She was small, black, lithe, Kinda cu- Shut up brain. "Maybe I'll rule DeathClan through the power of sarcasm."

Arwen grinned, quickly taking a liking to the tom. He was funny, something Deathclan lacked. " You're future kingdom? I don't think so, this place is mine for the taking when I'm old enough." She lifted her chin, puffing out her small chest. She didn't really mean it, but it was a fun thought.
Arwen took a moment to look him over, tilting her head subtly. She had never seen a cat with his markings, and she had to admit they looked pretty cool. Although she would never say this out loud, she was a very proud kitten, and didn't hand out compliments lightly.

"Mm, yeah, probably." Stryx licked his paw, drawing it over his black ear. "I bet a anyone could do a better job than me, and pretty much everyone's got their eye on it." He had a little bit of an ambition to actually be leader, but that was just a dumb dream. This kit-kat could be leader before him, how depressing. Dunno, cats surprise you.
"Name's Stryx by the way." He continued, noting the smaller cat's proud stance."And before you say it, yes it is weird, and yes I made it up myself. What's yours?"

Arwen tilted her head at his response, confused as to why he thought so little of himself. She made no comment, sitting down gingerly and wrapping her tail tightly around her paws. She hated the cold.
"Stryx? What was your name before?" She questioned, her smile returning. It was a strange name, one that rolled off her tongue oddly. She was sure she had said it weirdly. "The names Arwen." She lowered her head in a fake bow, smirking. She didn't bother to say it was made up, she was more interested in his story.

Stryx yawned, having a weird feeling in his mouth. He moved his tongue around as Arwen asked a question, realizing one of his fangs was larger than the other. When did he start growing a snaggletooth? Well, I'm absolutely disgusted now. And now I am going to suffer from crippling depression for the rest of my life. Yay.
His head perked up. "Oh, my name before Stryx?" He mused, trying to remember. "My mother called me the name 'Strange', go ahead and guess why." Gesturing to his bi-colored stripes. "Arwen? I like that name... Suits you, or something, whatever the saying is... I'm not good talking to girls."

Arwen frowned, shaking her head lightly. " That's cruel. Strange." She repeated, noting how it felt worse on her tongue than Stryx. She was glad she hadn't been called something like that. Then again, Bean was worse.
Arwen giggled at his next comment, sweeping her tail over the cold ground as her smile returned. " Well you're doing just fine." She assured him, although she couldn't keep the mocking smile off her face. Despite his weirdness, he was quite... Charming.

(Srtyx: How to slide into the DMs 101)
"Eh, at least she didn't call me something like 'Stripy'," Stryx said, then mumbled under his breath. "Absolutely hated that name." He sat up on his haunches, taking more interest in talking with this she-cat, he liked her. Even if it was hard to spot her behind a pebble.
"Oh, um," He stuttered over his words a bit when Arwen said he was doing fine in talking. Dumb Stryx, you're staring! "Thanks?" Stryx let out a cough-like laugh, just to regain his composure. "You're, like, the 5th cat I've talked to since getting here, have you been here a while?"

Arwen barely heard what he had mumbled, leaning forward slightly. She knew he was mostly talking to himself when he said it, but it was interesting. 'How many names as he had?' She thought to herself, flicking her ears forward to focus on what he was saying next.
Arwen ducked her head slightly in laughter at his obvious nervousness, her face heating up as he continued to stare. " The first cat? You must be really new then. I've only been here a few days." She shrugged casually, licking her lips in thought. " Why did you decide to join Deathclan?" She questioned, genuinely wanting to know more about the oddball in front of her.

Stryx tilted his head in confusion, thinking. "Oh, sorry, not first, I meant fifth. I can't keep track of numbers." He shuffled. "Buuut you do feel like the first cat I'm actually having a conversation with." He studied one of his pale gray paws, unhooking a claw to pick at his teeth. This 'Arwen' was letting him relax, she was nice to talk to casually.
"Why'd I join?" Stryx thought, pausing and crossing his eyes. "I dunno, I guess I was just feeling lonely or something. Wanted to be in a group, and not like one of those other clans when they have stupid rules and stuff, this..." He stopped again, glancing at the ground, then back up. "Suited me, in a sense"

(Sorry about that lol, I totally thought you said first)
Arwen let out a breath of air, her tail flicking back and forth softly. " Oooh, alright. I haven't been here long, only a few days." She answered his questioned from before, flexing her claws in and out. It wasn't hard to keep herself busy, she was generally easily entertained, even by herself.
" That makes sense, I think a lot of cats joined for that very reason. Its not as good as I was hoping though, not a lot of cats like conversations here."
