Fircone sniff the air gingerly, unsettled by the lack of coverage but enticed by the alluring smell of the meadow. He had never traveled this far away from his makeshift "camp" with Wisteria before, and he was a little wary about going into a place where he could duck behind a tree or bush to hide. His cautions were pushed to the side when a large yellowtail butterfly brushed past his ear tips. Excitedly, he began to chase after the butterfly, hopping up every now and again to try and paw it out of the air. He was so distracted with the butterfly that he didn't even notice the other cat until he had trod right over their tail. With a sqeak he stumbled backward, hunkering down and getting ready to bolt if the other cat showed signs of aggression.

((Was the 'butterlies' instead of 'butterflies' intentional? Just curious.
Ariana found herself wandering into the meadow, the various scents slightly dulled by Leaf-bare's approach. It was inevitably, that the strong scents present in the warmer seasons became less vibrant as they died. Herbs that were shriveled up and black didn't give off the same kind of scent.
Then she blinked as she saw a butterfly fly past, when her tail was suddenly stepped on. She inhaled sharply, almost biting her tongue, trying not to make a sound. She turned around as her ears twitched downwards, but stayed upright at the end. It was some tom cat who seemed ready to make a break for it. She gave him a nice smile. "Oh! Are you okay?"

aaa!! no, just a silly typo i made (-n-") i'll go fix it!
Fircone blink and instantly relaxed at the she-cat's kindness. "Yes!" he mewed brightly, then quickly looked down at her tail, "are you?" he pouted, blushing with his ears flattened bashfully, "I'm sorry I stepped on your tail. Oh! Any my names Fircone, in case you were wondering or anything..." the tom-kit smiled shyly, still a bit embarrassed he had stepped on the older cats tail.

Ariana saw that the tom-kit before her instantly relaxed when she gave a friendly response. She wasn't sure if the relaxation was well deserved. "Oh. Don't worry, I'm fine." She returned with a friendly smile. "That's a nice name, Fircone. I'm Ar-" Then she paused. Her smile turned into a more neutral expression, but it was still on the positive side. She'd always had a soft spot for younger cats. "Ari. Just Ari." She amended.

(sorry for the late reply! i'll be a bit busy for awhile, so i may not be able to reply quickly)
Fircone grinned, flushing a bit at the compliment she gave him. "Really? Thank you," he purred, ears perking up, "I like you're name too, it's pretty." He had never heard a name like it before--it sounded a bit like a nofur name, but Ariana didn't look like a kittypet. "Do you live near here?" Fircone asked, gesturing with his tail to the meadow they were in, "I've never really been here before--it's nice, although a little open. Where I live there are more trees."

((That's okay.))
Ari was used to all sorts of things cats threw at her. Anger, confusion, hatred, jealousy... But compliments never failed to throw her off. The more genuine they sounded the more she got confused by them.
"O-Oh... Uh... Thanks." She managed to keep her voice from nervously stating it as a question. The she hummed in response. "Yeah, I stick around this area. Not the meadow, but the plains usually. But trees sounds nice." Trees sounded rather appealing, in her opinion. But there weren't really any neutral territories with many trees... Unless you wanted to stick dangerously close to the rogues of Deathclan or those Treeclanners.
