Hailspirit was curled up in her nest, body rhythmically moving up and down as she breathed. It was nice being a RockClan warrior. Even though the clan wasn't as populated as the rest, it meant that there was more room to stretch out in the warriors' den.
Then a sudden sharp pain soared through her tail. Hailspirt flinched and woke up, blinking her blind eyes to more darkness. Someone had stepped on her tail. 'What are they doing up at this hour?' She wondered if the cat had had a nightmare. "Are you okay?" She whispered aloud, facing the direction of the cat's scent.

Clove on her way out of the den in a hurry apparently had trodded someones poor tail. She whipped around with a sorry expression. "S-sorry," she started before recodincing the feline she had met previous. "Oh Hello Hailspirit. I'm terribly sorry, err" she shifted one foot in front of the other still anxious to get out side. Hoping some fresh air would help get rid of the still hanging nightmare. She shifted and whispered "I need some air." She turned and bolted for the night out side of the den. Turning back and realizing she might have been followed.

She quickly recognized the voice as Clove's. 'She sounds stressed.' The she-cat was about to open her mouth and speak, but then Clove bolted out of the den. 'Oh no.' She curled back up into a ball, assuming that the warrior didn't want to be followed. 'I hope everything's okay.' Hailspirit thought, starting to munch on her tail in nervousness.
Eventually her worries got the best of her, and she got up and headed out of the den. She couldn't leave a friend out alone at night. What if something was horribly wrong? She sniffed around for her. "Clove? What's wrong?"

She saw that she wasn't in fact followed. With a shaky sigh she hunched over, mind and heart still racing over the mare that had yet to release its grip... It was of her previous clan... it was the moment she lost her kit and mate... however this time it was twisted... she never did know what happened to her beloved only that he had died in what she hoped to be an accident some where deep down she feared these dreams where true he had been murdered by his own people.... shaking she whipped around with wide eyes as she hadn't even notice HailSpirit come out side. She shook her head.."N-nothing I'm just being a bab-by... Don't worry about me." She looked away from Hailspirit hoping that though it was obvious she wouldn't call her out on the lie.

Hailspirit stiffened as she felt the breeze from Clove turning so suddenly, and slowly padded closer. She payed close attention to the warrior's voice, easily spotting the lie. Hailspirit couldn't rely on facial expressions to tell her someone's mood, and as a result she had become very good and detecting a lie.
She sat down next to her. "I will worry about you because you're my friend. What's wrong, Clove?"

She shuffled over slightly slightly greatful for company and not happy all in the same. The word friend struck deep... her orginal home thought friendship was the root of evil if you had a friend they must have had something good right? She didn't quite get the ease of it with the clan but she didn't argue as the feline said it. "I've just had a nightmare, but really I don't want you to stay up cause of me." She nudged hailspirits shoulder with her own cold nose. "We're friends?" her voice help hope and uncertanty. Like it was a good or maybe a scary thing she wasn't all to sure. She didn't really have friends I mean it had been brought up before but never...explored.
