It was late at night and Puddlekit was wide awake. She wasn't sure why, but she couldn't sleep. 'I wanna go outside. I hear the sky looks really pretty at night.' She thought, gaze moving to the den exit. Not thinking anything more, she stood up and skipped outside, then ran out of the barn when no one was looking. She craned her neck to look up at the sky, and the sight nearly took her breath away.

Racing back to the nursery, she tried to urgently prod her mother with a paw. "Mama, come look!"

[Rivershade]

RiverShade, lept lightly. Still getting used to the newish nest. She was awoken by a soft paw on her side. She lifted her head, and blinked sleep from her eyes. With a warm smile she greeted Puddlekit. "What is it puddle?" Clambering to her paws she watched as puddle started to lead her out side. She smiled amused, this must be her first time seeing the stars.

"Come look, mama!" She squeaked again, leading the way outside. Her tail waved behind her in excitement. Reaching the outdoors, she looked up at the night sky and pointed at it with a paw. "Look at those shiny things! They're so pretty, just like you!"

"I'm coming, I'm coming" she said as she started to make her way to the dark night outside. She felt Puddles excitement and purred warmly. She sat down as she watched Puddle, point at their ansesters. She tilted her head and blushed a bit. "Oh Puddle your so sweet," she moved to lick the kit's ears. "Do you know what they are?" she wondered if silverpelt and their story had  yet been passed to her daughter. River pointed her nose towards the stars, they were most certainly a breath taking sight...
