The war was over. The wolves had scattered. Death was just a faint scent drifting away with each day passing by. The cold, biting wind of Winter nipped at her fur.
The Shadow Dwellers had become her home. They became her passion, her point to existing, her reason to kill. The Shadow Dwellers offered reasons for her bloodlust, and they encouraged that the need to kill those in revenge was not wrong, but indeed right to them. Painne loved her pack, as far as such a word can travel for the she-wolf. She was chokingly loyal and respect to Alpha Major, as the teachings from her former pack explained. Her Alpha was king of everything, and she was nothing but a gnat. She would be squashed if it meant her Alpha would succeed. That was the law of her former pack, engraved into Painne's mind and instinct from birth. It was who she was.
But the Shadow Dwellers were foggy and distant. None she was close to, either than Killer and Major, old friends having disappeared with time. Painne was still here. But she wondered just how much longer the Shadow Dwellers had to live.
They were dying. Was she dying with them?
Any wolves alive anymore...? it'd be cool to have one group gathering of every active wolf, no matter the pack, just to rp and introduce characters xD

Atom stretched as they padded slowly through the woods. Their shoulder still ached and even hurt at times, but the healing was helped along by herbs given to them by the healer from the Shadow Dwellers, as they walked Atom's mind wandered back to that strange pack and the wolves that they had met who resided inside it. They figured that they probably wouldn't meet any of them again anytime soon, but that might have been proven wrong when they caught an almost familiar scent. Was that a wolf from the same pack? Atom grinned.
Other wolves were interesting for the most part, and this pack had proven to be especially interesting, so they changed their course and moved closer to this wolf who smelled similar to the Shadow Dwellers. As the femme came into their view Atom gave her a wide smile. "Hello doll! What brings you out on this cold winter day?" They asked wiith a small chuckle. Considering that they were also wandering about they probably weren't the one to be speaking.
[hello! Atom is alive and kind of well.]

{ *poke poke* whoa, life in the wolf boards. somebody pinch me }
Painne could hear pawsteps approaching. Her ears folded back, eyes narrowed in the direction of the sound. She prepared for whoever would show up, perhaps her former mentor Killer, or maybe even her Alpha. Perhaps it would only be a different member of the Shadow Dwellers.
...Or perhaps, none of the above. The wolf that appeared smelled not of the same Shadow Dweller scent. And they certainly didn't sound as bloodthirsty as some of her packmates.
Painne cocked her head curiously, eyes still narrowed and suspicious. "Pondering." was all the Elite said, in a level voice. Through aging, Painne had trained her mind to be less reckless. She disciplined herself to be less aggressive, and more of a neutral wolf. Of course, when it came to claws and teeth, the calculating Painne was nothing more than an afterthought against the ferocious monster that would appear.
But that was just customary of being a Shadow Dweller.
"Who are you?" Painne questioned.

As she answered them Atom lolled their head back and forth as if considering what she was saying, which wasn't much. She answered their question with one word and then asked a question of her own. Now it was time for Atom to decide how they wanted to interact with this wolf. They could give a false name, but she was in the same pack as Killer so if they were ever in the same area at the same time that could cause some awkward situations. "Ah, wonderful. While you're pondering I'm wandering. My name is Atom. Now I believe it's your turn to introduce yourself." They stated with a grin. They wondered how similar she was to her pack mates. If she was anything alike them then this would be an interesting interaction. Exactly what Atom wanted.

Her dark lashes flickered with uncertainty as she picked up a familiar scent. It was Painne the Shadow Dweller, and at first she was unsure whether to approach... but the war was over, and the terrible loneliness that shadowed her heart would always be her strongest incentive. So she, her frosted paws brushing the ground delicately as she balanced herself over the deep snow, picked her way to the brown she-wolf and her companion. "P-Painne!" she yelped, enthusiastic and maybe a little naive as she broke into a puppy-like bound to where the two wolves were standing.

Painne was quiet for a moment after Atom spoke, a bit ticked off by the rhyming, but not showing outward aggression. She considered telling them who she was-- a feared Elite of the Shadow Dwellers, a bloodthirsty killer. But, whatever Painne would have said was lost by a howl of another wolf, that soon came skidding to their side. She regarded the wolf coldly, mind racing to recognize the face as the she-wolf seemed to do with her. She's familiar, but from where?!
Then, it clicked. Painne paused, slowly giving the she-wolf Flight of the Artemis Scouts a dark and confused look. When did we become friends? With a huff, the Elite turned back to Atom, looking a bit bored. "If you didn't hear it yourself, my name is Painne." she growled, deciding not to mention her pack affliction just yet.
Although Painne did returned her gaze to Flight to respond. "You're that she-wolf who insulted my pack."
Uuugh what is wrong with the coding on mobile?! The stays visible and yet does it's job?! Why?!?!

It seemed as if this she-wolf wasn't too impressed with Atom's word play. There wasn't exactly anything to show that, but the silence showed enough. They wondered if they could get her to a boiling point and manage to get in a fight with her. Wouldn't that be interesting? Their shoulder still hadn't fully healed, but it was close enough to being healed that they could maybe hold up enough in a battle as to not die. Then a yelp sounded with a name and a new unfamiliar scent.
a new wolf pounded toward the femme, who Atom assumed was named Painne after the other wolf had yelled it for everybody to hear. Atom couldn't help but smirk. "Is you're fan here somebody who might attack me on your behalf?" They asked as they eyes watched the newer wolf. She definitely seemed excited to see Painne, for whatever reason. Painne's response to this wolf are Atom grin. So, this was going to be an interesting encounter.

Oh my gosh, sorry this is so late! If that happens again you can just go on without me, haha.
She flattened her ears, and her plush cheeks flushed under her snow-tipped fur. "I panicked.." she explained hurriedly, and her fear of conflict began to quicken her heartbeat. She carried a powerful aversion to the use of force, borne from a scar inflicted in her youth, and she knew that her only self-defense was the reactive, primal instinct to survive present in every untamed creature of the Earth. "I can't find anybody..the Artemis Scouts, I mean.." she woofed. Her pack was in a state of diffusion and since December she had adopted a solitary nature, which was daunting since she really was too young to support herself efficiently. But her mentor, Nyx, had disappeared into some distant corner of the pack territory, and even her Alpha's scent trail was beginning to fade. So, she journeyed deep into the frozen woods, hoping to find sanctuary there, and with her head lifted to the sky, she sang herself to sleep every night.
But at least now, she was not quite so alone, and she would do her best not to ruin it! Her eyelashes were heavy with frost and she blinked them, bouncing around in the snow and trying to initiate a kind of game. Her frosty breath spiralled towards the sky, and her tail was a waving flag of silver and gold. Her eyes widened when she realised that she knew absolutely nothing of the other wolf. "Are you alone? A wolf should never be alone!" and she bowed in a playful gesture, the urge to run with the pack scratching at her velvety paws. "Oh, please forgive me, Painne!" she whimpered suddenly, her heart sinking fast when the Shadow Dweller continued to regard her with disdain. "Maybe, we can help each other... like, combat practice!"
