Fangshadow kept an unbalanced pace as he scampered through the Fireclan territory. The recent chill had made it much more of an enjoyable habitat for the long furred kitty. He sighed and looked up. Seeing over the tall-ish grass he was able to spot the Tree foliage up ahead indicating he was growing close to Treeclan. He was always drawn to the sound of fluttering leafs and the shade the tall vertical logs provided... He new deep down, it was a place of calmness and rest.. a home he never was given a chance to explore. Though of course moons ago he had decided it meant nothing.. He loved and was loyal to his clan... He stopped short of the boarder knowing his bounds. He did give a surprised expression as he scented a tom... "By Golly if it isn't Arrowstar him self" he said with a small grin, this could be quite interesting.

I was doing a usual border patrol I would do if I didn't have anything to do or if I was particularly paranoid. The FireClan border seemed pretty secure, TreeClan scent marking the line thickly. That was until I heard someone say my name. I glanced over, spotting a cat in the opposite clan.

"I'm sorry, who are you?" I asked, my voice monotone. Was I so famous in the clans that someone from FireClan would just speak my name? The only way I could think of someone knowing my name there was if they knew me from my childhood...

He sat down showing he had no reason to prove being a threat. With that he tilted his head and watched. Of course this feline wouldn't know of Fangshadow... and it wasn't cause of his high standings, fang just rarely spoke to those of treeclan for his own safety. He was amused by what seemed to be ArrowStikes own vanity, but replied with a steady voice and calm expression. "FangShadow," He flicked his tail, giving the deputy and up and down look. He looked like the average Treeclanner, but something about his eyes made him think of there last deputy... Of course that would make little sense Darkthorn was loyal as far as fang new to fireclan... and he had Bio-colored optics most likely his kits would be too. He shook the thought away, he had a deep grudge against that cat anyways. Less thoughts of him the better.

He actually gave his name. It was kind of a shame, given I hadn't really cared to learn this cat's name since we weren't in the same clan. And also because I held the biggest grudge against FireClan because of my father. Fangshadow had taken a seat, giving no sign of leaving or dropping the conversation. With a heavy sigh, I sat too, but I kept a good distance from the border. It reeked.

"You know me, so I suppose introductions are made. How do you know me?" I asked. "It would make sense if you saw me at a Gathering, but it's been a long while since we've last had one..."

[oooh? i'm interested]

He simple shrugged as a question was presented to him. "I know of you, and not much more." He said with a small grin. Then a gathering was mentioned He nodded. "Yes, it's been far to long. But non the less I've got some memory up in here" he gestured to his head. He grew amused with the air this feline seemed to bring. "Tell me is all well in treeclan?"

I was settled a bit by his answer, so I just grunted and glanced away, suddenly finding a stick on the ground very interesting. My ears pricked when he asked about TreeClan. Well, I haven't seen Spiderstar in ages, so that's a start... No, I wasn't going to even mention something of that sort to a cat, especially a FireClanner. "Yes. We are still strong and prosperous. And how fares FireClan?" I asked respectfully, though I didn't give a flying fox dung about it.

[it's funny bc Arrow hates him too bc he was the reason his mom left TC; it's also funny bc Skywing killed my would-have-been deputy in a plot a while ago before Arrow was made and I decided to make him the deputy :')]

He gave a small smile, he knew it was silly to ask anyone of another clan about there own people because he was most likely to get the perfect of answers. He flicked his ears with a flash of genuine happiness for his birthclan. "All is well in fireclan as well," he offerers with a guarded look. "Tell me Arrowstrike, can you recall a queen by the name of applefall?" he said with a faint smile. He didn't know much about his late mother only that witch was told to him from his own father.

He mentioned the name Applefall, and a small pang hit his heart. Such a pure-hearted cat... it was a shame TreeClan had to lose such a great queen and a deputy all at the same time. "Yes. She was a very special queen in TreeClan. Why do you ask?" I questioned him.

"I just was told she was a great cat, and I love storys. Regaurdless of my own age, do you have any fond memories of her?" He pressed knowing it wasn't wide but heck what did he have to loose.
