ghost smiled as he walked around the plains, taking in the familiar scenery. he had only been there once or twice in his life, but it was still one of his favourite places ever since he had explored it with his best friend whom lived in the area. the young kittypet swished his dark grey-tipped tail as he made one more step, hearing the thin layer of frost crunch beneath him, before he lay down on the grassy floor and began to groom his black pelt, the spiked on his collar causing a bit of discomfort as he did so.
as ghost groomed his flank, he heard a noise- footsteps. he looked around the area quickly before speaking, "who's there?" he asked.

Lightningpaw's eyes widened as she saw another cat. She had figured that she may as well explore a little now that she was an apprentice, but really hadn't expected to meet someone from out of the clan. She composed herself quickly and after a split seconds consideration stepped out, standing strait with her chin lifted slightly as to not give away any nervousness. Good timing too as the cat had just spoken, "who
s there." "Other than me I guess there's you. And a couple of cats way back there. Maybe a few others, I really can't answer that question as just one of many cats." she teased. "I'm Lightningpaw though. Who are you?"

ghost's ears pricked, yellow eyes widening as he turned to where he heard a voice. the kittypet relaxed a little when he saw the appearance of his company, realising that, although they were a wild cat, they were young and most likely did not want to harm him. he hadn't done anything to threaten her or anything, had he? the chubby feline shook his head side to side quickly before replying to the stranger, "alright then," he raised an eyebrow, waving his tail, "well, lightningpaw, i'm ghost," he introduced himself.

ghost tilted his head to the side a little, "i guess you could say that..." he said, "well i just don't visit here much, i guess... i'm from twolegplace," the kittypet explained, blinking his yellow eyes.

Lightningpaw nodded. "So your a kittypet?@ she asked, eyes bright. She had never spoken to a kittypet before.

ghost nodded, showing his teeth a little, "yeah... as you can probably tell by the twoleglace and the collar," he said, using his paw to motion towards the piece of leather and metal around his neck.
"the term 'housecat' is preferred but whatever."

ghost laughed a little at that, "you don't 'meet' a house," he said, "i live in a house... like you clan cats live in dens," he explained. swishing his tail as he tried not to laugh. hey, he found it funny.

Lightningpaw tilted her head. "A house is a structure then? I thought that was what you guys called twolegs. Why would you name yourselves after your 'house'? I'm not a den cat. Or a Camp Cat"
