NataliaSnow fell lightly in the air, it was a few weeks into the holiday season and it didn't hold back on a white season. Patch didn't mind too much, she liked everything about the snow, except the cold of course. The she-cat had decided it would be fun to give out gifts to cats, and Natalia was one of them. She carried a large bell in her jaws. She thought the it was a simple idea that wasn't prey or anything the could easily be used up. Patch made her way to the other's den, her ears flicked. She set the bell down and called out quietly. "Natalia, you there?"

Natalia was sleeping when Patch had come into her den. However, she was a light sleeper so she was roused from her sleep. Recognizing Patch, the black and white she-cat was spared by Natalia's grouchy temper.
Anyone else, she likely would've immediately gotten to biting off their head.
Her half-asleep green eyes blinked slowly as she saw the bell at Patch's paws. Her gaze slowly turned back up to meet the other she-cat's eyes. "What's this about?"

Patch didn't really know how to react to Natalia. Her face turned a slight red at the awkwardness she thought was there. The black and white she-cat smiled and explained. "Um... When I was chasing a bird through twolegplace, I saw random twolegs handing out gifts to others... And despite their stupidity, I thought it was a nice idea. So... I didn't really know what to give you, and this is what came up..."
Patch pointed her tail at the bell, her ears twitched. She didn't know why she chose to give out a bell of all things, but it was pretty and made a nice sound at least.

((No idea what kind of bell you had in mind, but I'm imagining the kind you attach to a cat's collar.))
Natalia wasn't exactly at such things like socializing. However, she wasn't blind to social cues. She could see Patch reddening and then explaining with a smile. It seemed to be a bit nervous in nature. The black and white she-cat explained the meaning behind the bell. How it was meant to be a gift of... Well...
A bell served no practical use to Natalia. A bell would likely only scare away prey or attract hostile cats. Plus, twolegs things like this tended to be the mark of a kittypet, rather than a scarred rogue. Still.... Natalia stood up and walked over to Patch. She gently lifted the bell in her jaws and carried it back into her nest. She tucked it into a corner. It wasn't obvious, but she knew where it would be. She turned around to look Patch in the eyes, an odd expression on her face. Honestly, Natalia couldn't make heads or tails of how she felt either.
"I'll be honest. I don't really have any use for a bell. But... It's the thought that counts, right? I appreciate the sentiment. I really do." She cleared her throat. "I uh...." She reddened just the slightest bit from embarrassment. "I wish I had something to give you, but I don't." Honestly, this whole encounter had blindsided her. Did Patch really care about her enough to give her a gift, even if it served no practical use...?
((And suddenly I just thought of Natalia somehow obtaining like a hammock or something and using that as her bed in the trees lol. Imagine if she had a tent-den in the treetops.))

((I don't know really, I guess it's the kind of bell you would hang on a doorknob. Also, if Natalia were human, I'm pretty sure she would be one of those people that would go camping in a tent in the trees/side of a cliff.
Patch lowered her ears a bit out of her nervousness. Did Natalia think she liked kittypet things..? Well, she did like them, but that wasn't the real point. She sighed and her smile turned casual as Natalia spoke.
The she-cat chuckled slightly. "Who knows..? You might need it someday, even for the oddest reason. But it's okay, the gift was really sudden and I don't even really need anything, except for a nice social life. But that's not happening soon." She tried to joke. But she ended up just sat there, awkward and red in the face.
