-for Moonfur only please <3-
whitejaw smiled as he walked around the territory, a small mouse in his jaws from his hunting trip. it wasn't much, but it was something- hunting in leaf-bare was hard. as he stepped, the young warrior decided that he would go and see one of the borders, the fireclan border. the black tom began to slow down as he made his way down the rocks, following the river that split off into treeclan and fireclan territory. he stepped carefully, trying not to slip on the thin sheet of ice and snow that now covered the rocks... had it had still been green-leaf or leaf-fall, he would have ran down them as fast as he could.
whitejaw stopped in his tracks on the second lowest rock to the bottom of the fall. there was another cat across the border, the fireclan one to be precise. his piercing blue eyes looked at them for a while, waiting for them to notice him.

Moonfur padded around the outer part of the Fireclan territory. She would've maybe shivered due to the cold, but she had run from the camp to out by the border. 'Well, who can blame me? It's cold, and I like running, anyway.' Though she had to say that running through cold, slightly frosted over grass wasn't the best experience she'd ever had. Drawing closer to the Rockclan border, she looked in the direction of Treeclan's territory, lost in thought. Would it be better living in the forest during the cold moons? It would possibly allow less of the cold, cutting wind to blow through their territory. After a few moments of wondering, she shook her head. 'But what about running through the open plains? That'd never be possible there.' she thought to herself. Looking down at her paws, she shuffled back a little. Even though it was leaf-bare and less cats came out just for leisure, you could never know. She surveyed the area, but it was a few seconds before she looked in the direction of Rockclan, and saw a tom standing there, watching her. "Oh!" she retreated a pawstep or two. He didn't seem angry or anything of the sort that she was so close to the border. 'Maybe he's.. friendly,' the grey warrior thought. It wasn't a crime to know or get to know cats from other clans, and she didn't really have anything to lose. "Ah.. hello!" she mewed.(I don't know how I'm writing so long )

-lol-
whitejaw's black ears pricked upwards at the sound of the grey she-cat's voice. she had finally noticed him. his eyes widened a little before going back to their normal size and he dropped the small dead mouse in his jaws onto the rock he was standing on. slowly, he leaped down the final two rocks so that he was now standing on the flat ground, level with the fireclan territory. he continued to follow the water, going right up to the split before stopping right before the fireclan border, making sure that he didn't step over it. that wouldn't be good.
as he approached, whitejaw heard the other warrior speak again. he kept his blue gaze on her own as he replied to her greeting with a simple, "hello," he thought this cat seemed friendly, but he didn't want to risk getting hurt. especially not this far away from camp where it was unlikely to be found by a clanmate. of course, it was also unlikely that the other warrior would cross the border, but that didn't mean they definitely wouldn't. he thought for a while, contemplating whether or not he should introduce himself. he finally decided that there would be no harm, "i'm whitejaw," he said kindly but still trying to show that he could defend himself if anything were to happen.

Moonfur had to say that she'd rarely met cats from other clans. Maybe one or two at Gatherings, but besides that, no one. She was glad that the few cats she met were relatively friendly. After he introduced himself, she replied with her own name, "I'm Moonfur." She tried not to seem too welcoming because he was still a cat from another clan. However, she was friendly enough to show that she wouldn't harm him- unless he asked for it.

whitejaw nodded when the other cat introduced herself as 'moonfur'. okay, so now they knew each other's names. he couldn't help but think that the conversation was rather awkward, but he guessed that that was because he had never met someone who was not from rockclan before, "so..." he said, "you're a fireclanner," he noted, waiting for her to respond.

"Well, yes, and you're from Rockclan.. what brings you here during this time of leaf-bare?" she asked, trying to make conversation as there wasn't much else to do.
(Sorry short post, currently out travelling)

-s'okay-
whitejaw relaxed a little when moonfur showed friendliness rather than hostility by started a conversation. he answered her question with a small smile, "hunting," he said shortly, turning around to gesture at the mouse he had dropped on the rocks, "gotta make sure the clan gets through leaf-bare okay... s'my duty," he explained, asking her the same question as she didn't actually appear to have a reason to be out here at first glance, "you?"

"Well, there's not much to do at camp," Moonfur replied. "I thought it might be nice to go for a run, then start hunting. You know, do something useful. Some cats don't want to come out this far because it's cold, but that might mean more chance of prey- who knows." She knew she was rambling a little, but what else could she do? It'd be rude to leave..

whitejaw nodded in agreement at what she had t say about camp, although in his opinion, there was nothing to do in fireclan territory either. it was like they just ran all the time- no cool new hiding places to discover, no boulders to climb, no high ledges that they'd have to try their hardest not to fall off. it looked boring, safe, yes, but the danger was part of the fun.
he continued to speak, "yeah, I guess it would be a good idea to get something for your clan before it gets so cold that nobody can move," he exaggerated with a warm chuckle, "i'm sorry if i've distracted you from your trip."

Moonfur laughed at his first statement a little, and then shook her head. "It's fine- it was nice talking to somecat new, to be honest." she said, hoping she wasn't seeming too friendly. "We technically distracted each other, I guess." (ack dunno what to say)

-it's okay-
whitejaw nodded, a small smile on his face. "yeah, anyway, can you stay here any longer?" he asked, waving his long tail, "would you get in trouble for talking to me?"

(I thought I replied but no ) "I could stay for a little longer, but it might be better if I get back to camp soon," she said. "And technically, I wouldn't get in trouble for talking to you, though cats from our clans may.. dislike this happening, considering the 'strictly clan loyal' cats." Moonfur added, thinking of a way to describe those kind of cats.

whitejaw nodded, swishing his long, thin tail. "i guess i can relate, i better get back before it's dark." he paused.
"but... i guess that gives us a bit of time to talk," he replied, "tell me about yourself, moonfur."

Moonfur nodded at his first statement, then tilted her head to think about it. "Well, I was born in Fireclan, like most of us. I guess I had a normal apprenticeship, though my warrior ceremony was held back for a little." she said, remembering when her mentor had told her the news. It hadn't been much of a big deal, though, she supposed. "I've been a warrior for a while now, but still became one somewhat recently. What about you?" she asked in turn.
