A brief purr exuded from her throat, one golden eye cracked open sleepily. The window in her two-legs home was tightly shut, making a wall of irritation suddenly flare. She wanted out! And the two-legs wouldn't let her out. The cat flap had been nailed shut, and the ugly box thing with gritty, tiny stones had been put out. SHE WAS AN INDEPENDENT CAT. Wren ended up scratching the female's hand and attacking the male's face whenever she was in close proximity.
Idiots. Huffing into white chest hair, Wren stopped her purr and pressed the bridge of her nose against the window. The tortoiseshell knew she looked ridiculous, with the top of her head pressed against the glass and her ears flattened. She wanted out and there was no way out other than the cat flap and this specific window.
