Today wasn't that bad, weather wise. The snow was actually melting, to the point where Applekit could paw at little, dead grass stems flattened to the ground. It wasn't exactly Green-Leaf temperature-- not that Applekit had ever experienced such weather, anyway --and it wasn't anything like the New-Leaf, either. But it was better than the day before. There was no biting wind, no frost sticking to everything, and even very few clouds in the sky! Lucky for the little tortoiseshell tomkit today, as he wasn't a huge fan of the chill. It was all he had ever known, but his mother had whispered promises of such a beautiful sun and fields of flowers, how could he truly love the freezing air that seemed to sink right through his fur?
"Hmph! Dumb grass, hurry up and live again!" Applekit growled as his claws sank into the little barren patch of brown plants. He tore up the frozen ground, as best a kitten could, before huffing and looking sour. "Just let Leaf-Bare go away already. Tch, it's so annoying!"
Oddly. Applekit happened to look up. And just upon coincidence, there stood a kitten just a few feet away. What were they doing outside the barn? The queens were usually pretty fussy about that sort of thing, weren't they? The tortoiseshell tomkit felt a smile bloom on his face, tail lashing in excitement. "Hey!" he called to @smolbean, skipping over with a mischievous glint in his ice-blue eyes. "You're an IceClan kit, yeah? We should hang out. I don't have any friends yet." Applekit glanced away with a confident shrug, although his gaze seemed to shift to something more lonely. "Not like I really need friends... but you look nice. Wanna hang out? I'm Applekit, IceClan's newest boy kitten." Of course, Applekit had to point out his gender. He didn't want this kitten to just assume he was a female, like he probably rudely would in misunderstanding!
{ you certainly don't need to write something kinda lengthy like this, I'm just trying to figure out Apple's character more/I'm on a computer! }

Shrewkit had decided to face his fears once again, which ended up with the tom standing outside the barn to watch the chickens. The birds both fascinated and scared Shrewkit to death. The weather was nice as well, so it was pleasant to be outside. The kit felt peaceful for the first time in a while, with nothing to worry about.
Until he was suddenly interrupted by another kit. His fur bristled up in surprise and he flopped onto the ground. "U-Um... Hi, yeah, I'm an Iceclanner... But sure, w-we can hangout." He murmured. He didn't mention the addition of 'boy kitten', maybe he just made sure Shrewkit wasn't assuming any genders.

{that moment it deletes your post............................}
Applekit smirked as the kitten he chose to approach jumped at his voice, startled at the suddenness of it. The tortoiseshell tomkit did suppose he had been a little sneaky, but nothing intentional. At least though, this stranger wasn't offended by being jump-scared. Which was good for both of them. "Cool!" the ice-blue eyed tomkit purred upon being agreed to. 'Glad we can hang out!' Applekit thought, even though the stuttering was making him a little concerned. 'He isn't going to be boring and shy, is he? Laaame.' Shaking away the worries of making an awkward friend instead of an awesome one, Applekit lifted his chin to go on. "Sooooo... what do IceClan kittens do? Any fun games, or is there any way to cause any trouble around here?" he meowed, with the same sparkle of mischief in his gaze. "Oh, and I don't think I caught a name, did I?"

((Hello darkness my old friend....
Shrewkit settled down a few moments after Applekit almost scared him to death. He shouldn't stutter now, thank Starclan. He thought over the kit's question and blinked. "Um, we normally play games in the hay or something. But for mischief..."
The grey-brown tabby stared at the entrance at the barn. "We could bother some chickens, they can't really hurt us except pecking." He murmured. He was severely horrified by the birds, but something just drew him to them. They seemed kinda fascinating.
((Shrew if my cousin taught me anything, it's don't mess with the chickens.
