I walked quickly through the forest, wrinkling my nose with disgust as I left the area where another cat had their den... right into another one. Great. Was there any unclaimed area for dens in this forest? I was almost wishing I was in the other Clans. I corrected myself, shaking my head. Even though in the Clans, you would be fed and sheltered, I preferred my freedom, not shackled to my duties. However, I suddenly stiffened as I could hear noise in the foliage. Sniffing the air, I knew this wasn't the scent of prey, but the scent of cat. "Who's there?" I called out. The last thing I wanted right now was to fight.

Sky moved slowly through the trees, her ears pricked up and alert. Her nose twitched as she entered the den area, though she still refused to try and make one. It was much too full for her liking, and she preferred to sleep somewhere high up anyway, where no one could use missing eyes as an advantage. Besides, she wasn't even sure if she would stay in Deathclan much longer. She jumped at the sound of another voice, her pelt instinctively spiking. She dug her claws into the soil, huffing lightly. "You're new, aren't you?" Sky raised a fictional brow, not bothering with any introductions as she made herself noticed.

I jumped backward, alarmed when I saw another cat: a calico... though it seemed she couldn't see me either. Claw marks where eyes should have been indicated that. Deciding not to point it out, I answered her question. "Yeah. I was looking for a place to build my den." I said warily. "Is this your part of the forest?" I added hesitantly. Despite the fact that the other cat was blind, I was still young and very small in comparison: small enough to be prey to a larger animal.

Sky snorted in amusement at the younglings question, shaking her head lightly. "No. Definitely not." Sky circled her slowly, taking in any detail she could manage to grasp. She wouldn't have any trouble remembering her scent, she never did. Stopping once she circled for the third time, she sat down behind her. "When did you join?" She asked curiously, head tipping to the left.

"Oh." I said, shrinking down slightly as the calico circled me, then sat behind me. I turned around stiffly and sat as well, though had to think at her question. "I'm not sure... maybe a moon ago?" I answered. "Maybe less." I added hastily. It was hard to keep track of time for me, since I was so focused on survival at the moment.

Sky nodded slowly, her attention focused elsewhere. "A moon? And you still don't have a den?" Sky tilted her head, muzzle wrinkling into a scowl. That didn't make much sense, why wait so long to find one? Then again, she wasn't really one to talk... Though, she at least expected this feline to know more about the area and how its ownership worked.

"I don't know." I replied, shrugging. "I've always been moving around in the territories, except the swamp. Never really found a place to settle." I said, backing up and standing slightly taller. Taking a stab at a braver question, I asked, "Why don't you have an area of your own? You look more experienced than I am." Being blind was a drawback, but considering how old she was in comparison, I was curious.

Sky snorted at her sudden 'bravery', shrugging nonchalantly. "I don't want one." She answered simply, dismissing the question with a wave of her tail. "I suggest not making one in the main den area, a lot of fights go down because of it." Sky offered her some advice, though she doubted the feline would listen.

(Sorry for my late posts, haven't had much time D:)
"Oh." I looked around at her next question. She was kind of right: the entire area still smelled more of cat than of prey. "You're right. Though the swamp is definitely out on that." I said, wrinkling my nose. In exploring DeathClan's territory, the swamp had been the worst, reeking and making it hard to breathe without gagging. "Though I should probably try to find someplace to build a den soon, even if it's not here."

"Personally, I would want a den near the river. No one really goes there, and the prey is definitely good if you can fish." Sky nodded in agreement, knowing that it was probably a good idea for her to make a den. Sky didn't think she ever would, she didn't like admitting she had settled.
