AshtailEmber had left Deathclan a long, long time ago. She'd gone on a path she didn't think anyone would follow her down. She'd put quite a lot of distance between her and her old life.
Now?
She was coming back into the area. She was curious. It had been generations, quite literally, since she'd been anywhere near Deathclan. She was curious to see if the place changed. It probably had. She'd been hearing some... Rumors. Apparently Deathclan's fearsome reputation had eroded somewhat. Heh. A far cry from what it'd been like when she was young, arrogant with easily wounded pride.
She did cock a fictional eyebrow as she was approaching Deathclan's vague borders, an injured silver tabby who looked like she'd lost a fight with a tree stumbled towards her. Multiple trees, actually. She imagined the damage to her eyes didn't exactly help matters.
"Well, you look like you made the wrong person mad."

Ash Ash didn't know how close the border was, or how far she was. She was scared, but turning to be more angry. She wanted rest, to be far from everyone. The tabby at least wanted to clean up, hating the feeling of blood drying, and making her fur feel sticky. Ash was new to this, still tripping over and bumping into things, and she started to get light-headed from the blood loss, and a headache. She smelt a cat, and heard a voice not to much later, and she growled. She was about to say, 'Here to finish me off?!', but realized the scent didn't speak much of DeathClan. "You think I'm not?" she said, almost yelling, Am.. I angry? Or.. scared? she thought, stopping in her tracks.

Ember impassively flicked an ear. Without even a hint of fear, she began circling around the tabby, surveying her. Needless to say, she wasn't too impressed. This cat had been beaten in a fight. Badly. Further, from what she could see of the blinded she-cat, she didn't think she fought too often either. She scoffed. This cat reeked of Deathclan. Was this what it come to? Kind of depressing actually.
She shrugged. "I think you're mad. Seething a bit, I imagine. I don't think it matters, though. Even if you weren't blind and injured, I doubt you could beat me in a fight."

Ash Ash huffed, hearing footsteps around her, ready for an attack. "What does it matter, that I can beat you in a fight or not?!" she hissed. "I'm not looking for a flipping fight."

Ember shrugged. "I suppose not. But you're expecting me to attack. You're all tense." She pointed out. Her tail flicked, not that the other she-cat could see it. "Though... I must say, you sound awfully defensive. I suppose it's more than your wounds that sting."

Ash "Yea, defense," she mewed. "I can't trust you, and you can't trust me," she said, "End of story!" The tabby huffed, wanting to leave, but was cautious of what the other feline would do.

Ember shrugged. "Well, this is conversation is going in circles. Anyways, I can tell you came from Deathclan. Not hard to figure out. Was hoping you could tell me the state of affairs over there." She wondered how biased the story would be coming from this cat's mouth... Or if it would come at all.

Ash Ash scoffed, "DeathClan was great, it was almost like when Drought ruled." The tabby growled, "I had the leadership, until someone took it from me."

Ember lifted an eyebrow. "Really? Cos' I've heard Deathclan's fearsome reputation has been in a gradual decline for a long time." She cocked her head. "How long did you have the leadership, if you don't mind my asking?"

Ash "You must of heard from the last leader's rule," she huffed, she felt a little embarrassed, "Not long, but a fair time, several moons."

Ember merely hummed in response. "I'm afraid... That these rumors are rather recent." She wasn't an idiot. She knew that for whatever reason, Deathclan seemed to be attracted a lot of kids lately. Interesting fact.
"But it seems like you weren't worthy of the title, if you got your butt kicked so badly." She smirked. "Anyways, I don't really have time for you. I'd like to see how things have changed since I was last here." She purred, beginning to move past the tabby cat whose name she didn't have.

Ash Ash flicked an ear, she decided she didn't really care anymore. "Whatever," she hissed, "Have fun," she said sarcastically as she laid down, wanting a break from her painful walk.

Ember thought that Ash's intelligence was either really low, or currently being overshadowed by her anger. She was willing to bet on the former, really. She walked past the tabby and left her behind, sauntering straight into Deathclan territory.
