Short and Sweet (Open)

(This thread is basically just to get an active thread here, please don't feel like you need to post much because I know we are all busy)

Liongrowl padded out of the medicine den and stretched. The camp is quiet. Too quiet. "Herrow?" He called, strutting his medicine cat self into the clearing of the camp. Who's out here today? He wondered.

Badgerkit walked around the camp. Her eyes wide this was one of her first times out of the nursery. Stumbiling over her paws she tumbled into another cat. "S-sorry." She stuttered.

[Liongrowl]

He looked down at the little kit and shook his head. "No, it's okay. I'm Liongrowl, the TreeClan medicine cat. What's your name kiddo?"

"Oh i'm Badgerkit." She responded to Liongrowl's question. "Is it cool to be a medicine cat?" She asked.

[Liongrowl]

He gave a simple nod. "Yeah. We get to do all sorts of cool things and learn plenty too. There's a lot involved in being a medicine cat." Liongrowl thought for a moment, "Well, you're going to be a warrior when you grow up. Is that cool?"

"Yeah, but I don't think anyone will want to be my mentor?" She said bitterly.

[Liongrowl]

Liongrowl shook his head. "Nonsense! There will be someone I'm sure who will be happy to be your mentor." And they may not have a choice about it. He didn't like little kits worrying about anything, especially since they were so new to life.

"Hopefully!" She said in an oddly happy tone. "Maybe i'll become a medicine cat?" she said with a hint of doubt.

[Liongrowl]

Liongrowl twitched his whiskers slowly. "Unfortunately I don't believe that'll be possible. Only a select few have the chance to become a medicine cat. But don't worry, you'll be a great warrior some day." He felt bad but knew that only certain cats had the ability to be called to the apprenticeship of a medicine cat.

"I bet someone will wanna mentor me, and when I become a warrior I will be one of the best warriors in the clans!" She said with enthusiasm.

[Liongrowl]

He gave a nod. "Definitely! Just keep your chin up! Maybe once you become an apprentice you could go out and help me collect herbs too! I could use help carrying them back."

"Of course Liongrowl I would be happy to help you!" She smiled.

[Liongrowl]

The orange tom gave a grateful nod and said, "Good. Now make sure you do stop by if you find an odd looking plant whenever you go out into the territory. I can't tell you what it is but I may be able to use it. Don't bring it back though... Your mentor might not like you giving something random to a medicine cat. Especially if it isn't useful."

"I will!" She said. "I have to go sorry Liongrowl." she said as she waved her tail as a good-bye. "See you latter!" She called as she ran back to her mother waiting outside the nursery.
