Thunderkit felt a cool breeze from outside and opened his eyes. He wondered what was making it so cold. The little tom stuck a paw out of the den and felt cold, soft snow on the ground. With a swift movement he pulled his paw back inside. "Hey there's fluffy white stuff outside!" He wondered if he could run outside into the snow or if it would be too cold. Does anyone else want to play? He wondered. Thunderkit couldn't keep this stuff all to himself.

Spark-kit's head perked up as he heard someone shout. Curious, he jumped to his paws and stretched before approaching the other kit. "White stuff?" Spark-kit repeated groggily, confused until he looked outside as well. His yellow eyes widened. "Woah! It's like the clouds fell down from the sky!" he mewed, instantly waking up. Without a second thought he reared back before leaping up in the air and doing a belly-flop into the snow. "COLD!!!" he shrieked as he sunk into the white fluff, not expecting it to be as freezing as it was.

As another kit leapt outside, Thunderkit wondered how well that would work out for him so he watched and sure enough the other kit fell belly flop style into the snow. He cringed as he watched it happen. Did that hurt? he wondered. Thunderkit ran through the snow to the kit since he was getting bigger by the day it was easier to run. "Hey you okay in there?" the dark furred Tom called. "I'm Thunderkit by the way."

"I-I-I-I'm o-o-o-kay!" Spark-kit chirped, shivering as his spiky ginger pelt was soaked through. His eyes had gone as wide as saucers and he was only able to get the tip of his little pink nose above the fluffy white blanket of snow. His tail stuck straight up and he padded closer to Thunderkit so that he could peer up at the older tom. "I'm cold! Well, I'm also Spark-kit, but right now I'm mostly cold!"

Thunderkit shook his head, somewhat amused. The little kit was a lot smaller than himself but he knew he was almost an apprentice already. The other kit looked to be closer to the queens than to the apprentices' den. "It's not too bad once you get bigger you'll be able to get through the snow easier. His back was higher than the snow but not too much. It was entertaining to him to try to waddle through the snow if it got to high.

Spark-kit shivered. "I wish I was bigger now!" the orange kitten mewed, pouting. "Hmm, maybe if I..." sticking his tongue out in concentration, Spark-kit began to hop up and down like a rabbit, grinning triumphantly as he was able to see more clearly for the few seconds he was in the air. "Haha! Look, I'm almost as tall as you!" the orange tom's tail wagged as he was able to jump just high enough to meet Thunderkit's gaze at an equal level.

Thunderkit frowned and then snorted in amusement as the other kit began jumping up and down like a goofy little rabbit. His frown turned upside down as he watched Sparkkit jump, reaching the height of his gaze. "Wow! That's not fair. You can grow like that!" Of course the larger tom was joking around and balled up a little bit of snow into a pile and jumped on top of it, getting himself to "grow" even further. "Hehehe!"

Spark-kit's yellow eyes gleaming, "Ha! No one can--hey!" the orange kitten pouted as Thunderkit "grew" as well, "that's cheating!" despite the accusation Spark-kit was still grinning. Mischievously, the tom-kit let himself since back into the cold snow, which he had started to get used too, and began to burrow towards the pile of snow Thunderkit was using to make himself taller.

Thunderkit's eyes widened in surprise. "Whoa there!" He jumped off the little mound and flopped into the snow all derpy like. The fluffy dark furred kitten stuck out like a sore thumb in this snow. If he didn't know any better he'd think he looked like a walking fluffy poop. The thought of that almost made him gag. Gross... He looked back at the other kitten and crouched like he was going to pounce. "Oi! What you burrowin for eh?"

Spark-kit peaked his head above the snow-line curiously when he felt Thunderkit jump off the mound of snow he was trying to burrow. "No reason," he mewed slyly. The orange kitten narrowed his yellow eyes playfully and stuck his pink tongue out at the other tom. Trying to stifle a giggle, he quickly darted his paw out and splashed a pawfull of snow towards Thunderkit then ducked down into the snow in an attempt to hide.

As the snow flew at him from the other tom his eyes widened just before flinching when the snow hit him. Huh.. That was funny. It didn't hurt him. He guessed in a way that it shouldn't as it was very fluffy and easy to walk on. "Hey!" Thunderkit yelled, laughing. He grinned as he flung some snow over to where Sparkkit was trying to hide. "Can't hide forever Sparky!" He roared like a little lion and sniffed around in the air, smelling the fresh scent.

"Yes I can!" Spark-kit chirped confidently, grinning widely as he poked his head up from the blanket of snow for a second, "you'll never catch me!" Tail sticking straight up in excitement, he quickly ducked body head back into the snow and began to burrow in a zig-zag sort of motion, trying to throw Thunderkit off his trail.

Thunderkit shook his head in disbelief and wound up ignoring it. He pounced into the snow, trying to find the other kit. When Sparkkit poked his head up he flung over there, trying to follow him. But he didn't get there in time. He decided to sniff for the other kit like a bloodhound would do. He saw the little parts of the snow that would puff up when the kit wandered beneath it and decided to follow that trail. "I may actually find you!" He wasn't so sure, but he was hopeful.

"Never!" Spark-kit mewed defiantly, although his breath was beginning to labor and it was getting harder and harder to keep up his pace. Feeling tired, Spark-kit decided to dig down deeper into the snow. As soon as the little kitten hit the dry dirt he curled up into a ball, trying his best to keep covered by the snow, and looked up, his yellow eyes wide as he waited to see if he would be able to stay hidden.

Thunderkit looked around for Sparkkit, hoping he'd be able to get out of the snow. He was confused when he no longer saw any more of the snow being pushed up from having a little kit underneath and was confused. Where did he go? He began digging where he last saw the top of the snow pushed up and saw a little tunnel where Sparkkit started to dig further under the snow. "Sparkkit? You there?" He asked.
