It was a day dedicated to hunting for Flower. He hadn't made it a priority in a while, instead just eating what came his way, or what he could get out of his lame excuses for fishing, and because of that he found himself waking up hungry. The tom cursed himself with not being more cautious with how often he was eating, but he couldn't change the past. So today was for hunting and the fields seemed like the best place to go for that. They had everything that Flower could need there, mice, prairie dogs, rabbits, birds. Surely he would find something to eat there.
It was so going though. Flower's slight limp cause him to be more clumsy when hunting and he ended up alerting a mouse to his presence, sending it scurrying away before he could pounce. The black tom pouted for a moment before sighing and trudging through the snow to find another animal to hunt.
Flower stretched as he wandered slowly. He kept and ear and eye out for anything that might suggest prey having been through the area. He wasn't expecting to find too terribly much, seeing as it was winter, but he figured there would be enough that he could find something. And he did.
It was a snow white rabbit sifting through the snow. Flower grinned and stalked forward, trying to shift most of his weight to his hind legs to keep off of his bad front two. He was of a one track mind as he studied the hare and as as he got closer and closer without being noticed he figured that he might actually get a full and good meal out of the rabbit. The tom grinned as he was within lunging distance and still hadn't been noticed.
So Flower lunged. He was off my a tiny amount and the rabbit bolted, trying, and, in the end, failing to get away. Flower may not have been incredibly stealthy at times, but he was fast enough to close the small distance between him and the rabbit and make a killing blow. He sat down beside his fresh prey and smiled. It had been fun, despite his one failure, to do some hunting and actually set out without hunting in mind instead of just catching whatever came his way.
He was about to dig into his new meal when the wind shifted and he caught the scent of another cat nearby. Flower rose back up to his paws and looked around, trying to see where this other feline was located. "I know you're there." Flower stated after a moment of hesitation. He waited to either hear or see the other cat. Perhaps it was even just his imagination and there wasn't somebody else there. Either way he was ready.

Storm knew the other cat would figure out she was there, they always did, but she was busy doing her own thing and didn't heed much attention to the other cat until she heard the younger cat speak. "Im aware." she responded with a roll of her eyes. She made her way over to the other cat non the less.

"i know you're there." one blue, one amber, paradox's eyes widened. she had hidden herself well, or so she had thought, and yet this stranger had discovered her presence in a matter of seconds. relenting, she started to get her paws, her response already planned. she stopped herself. another she-cat was moving towards the cat who had spoken, a tom. she listened, with pricked ears, to the she-cat, rebuking herself for assuming that he had been talking to her. it's no good now, she thought, far more grimly than befitted the occasion. i've already shown myself. "hi," she said shortly, flicking her tail in greeting.

Storm had also noticed the other cat, and turned with a smile. "Hello to you to. I'm Storm."
