-For Cherrykit-
Swankit stretched out in her nest lazily, rolling onto her back. She stared around the upside-down nursery boredly, looking for someone to talk to. It wasn't everyday when Swankit wanted to socialize, though she had done nothing all day and was sick of it. Though despite this she wouldn't try and talk to anybody first. All the kits were too immature and childish for her taste, even the ones that were older than her. Feeling eyes on her she tilted her head slightly, turning towards the source. Another she-kit. She raised a fictional brow, not in the mood to be stared at. Perhaps the kit had zoned out? "What are you looking at?" She sneered, rolling onto her paws.

Cherrykit cocked her head at the stranger. She wasn't staring because she thought that Swankit was odd-looking, or rather, not odd-looking in a bad way. Catching sight of the other kit, Cherrykit was surprised to see someone else who wasn't normal in appearance. Cherrykit herself was fairly insecure about her bobbed tail, she often worried that it would hinder her from becoming a warrior. "No, I wasn't staring!" She mewed, unsure how to explain herself. "I mean, I was, but.. I didn't mean to be rude. I'm sorry." The patched she-cat dipped her head. "I'm Cherrykit."

"Well if you didn't mean to be rude, maybe you shouldn't gawk at someone else. Its common sense, really." Swankit seethed, placing her head harshly on her paws. She already got enough stares. She cringed as the other kit apologized, wrinkling her nose. She hated those kinds of things. "Whatever." She answered shortly, rolling her shoulders back to ease them of tension. She tended to get very stiff when she was annoyed. "Swankit." Again, another short answer. She really should socialize more often. Swankit caught sight of her bobbed tail, pursing her lips in silent surprise. She was curious as to how that happened. Though, she knew she was probably born with it. "How old are you, anyway? You don't look like you belong in the nursery." The way she said it sounded as if it as intended to be rude, though most of her comments did.

Cherrykit hadn't expected Swankit to react so abrasively, and it made her feel even worse. It didn't seem as if apologizing any more would do any good at repairing things between them, so she listened to the she-cat talk, growing more and more despaired. "Past six moons." Cherrykit answered Swankit with a huff. It was getting to be quite noticeable that she was old enough to be an apprentice, and it made her feel awkward and flustered, like there was something she did wrong to delay her ceremony for so long. "I don't know why I'm still a kit." She said bluntly, flicking her ears. "Maybe I'm not good enough to be an apprentice yet, or something."

"Probably not. You don't look like much." Swankit narrowed her eyes as she looked the 'kit' up and down, her nose scrunched in distaste. She lifted her chin slightly, her chest rising. She was a snob, after all. Might as well sit like one. She noticed that she really didn't get along with other she cats well, she was definitely a lot more rude towards them. Maybe they were just harder to get along with in general.

"Yes, that's why I suggested it." Cherrykit did not allow her disappointment in Swankit's answer to show; she had brought up the possibility in the first place, and Swankit was simply voicing her opinion. "Maybe it's my tail," Cherrykit looked over at the stump where her tail was supposed to be. "I've heard that you need a tail for balance.. But I've never really had any problems with that."
Cherrykit thought some more, looking at Swankit skeptically. She didn't think the she-kit was rude, she had been honest, which, even if the truth wasn't pleasant, it was better than lying. "Maybe Jackalstar's just busy. He did just become leader, there are probably a lot of transitional things to take care of."

Swankit raised a skeptical brow, almost surprised this cat didn't jump to defend herself. It was odd, though she did suppose Cherrykit was the one to say it first, not her. "I don't think your tail matters, maybe you're just too incompetent?" Swankit tilted her head. It was a strange question to ask, but how else should she know.
"I suppose, I'm waiting on my ceremony too." She admitted. It was a lot less hard to tell for someone her size, and she had assumed Cherrykit didn't know she was also apprentice age.
(-Cherrypaw- Just thought I would tag you since you seemed to have forgotten about this thread xD)
