New t(o) Fireclan

Firekit woke with a start. Rainlight, her mother was right next to her still sleeping. She hardly couldn't sleep last night, and now she was bored. She got up to her paws and stretched her way out of the nursery. When she heard paw steps coming from behind her. She turned around and saw another kit approaching her.

[Sparkpaw]

"Hiya!" Spark-kit bounded over to the kitten kitten and greeted her with a toothy grin. He had been awake before most of the other kits and was bored with laying down in his nest. "I haven't seen you around before?" the orange tom-kit tipped his head to the side, "I'm Spark-kit, what's your name?"

Firekit saw an orange tom approach her. Firekit flattened her ears until the kit told his name was Sparkkit. He asked her what her name was. 'This is one talkative kit...' "Oh my name? I'm Firekit" she responded confidently, "My name is fire, just like Fireclan! This clan suits me fine." She gave a look at Sparkkit. 'That's a pretty good name' "Anyways, I'm bored. What do you want to do?"

"Woah, Firekit? That's a cool name!" Spark-kit's eyes gleamed, even if he didn't have FireClan blood he had always been very proud of his clan. The tom tipped his head thoughtfully as he tried to decide what the two could do. "Hmm... well, we could play tag? Or maybe warriors? But that's more fun when there's more kits..." his white tail-tip flicked in concentration, "oh! Or we could make a snow fortress!" he glanced towards the entrance of the nursery. The snow was beginning to thaw now that leaf-bare was over but there still seemed to be enough to make a fort or two.

Firekit thought of something to play, maybe fighting or even make a snow fortress! When Sparkkit also said something about snow fortress. "Okay! Let's play in the snow and build snow fortresses! Firekit was shaping the snow into a ball and was about to throw it at Sparkkit's face! "Ha, get this!" she yowled.

Spark-kit bounced excitedly on his heels. He hadn't made a real snow fortress before but he had really been wanting to! He was about to jump into the snow but before he could a snowball crashed into his muzzle. "Hey!" he mewed, sneezing a bit as a few snowflakes flew up his nose. He narrowed his yellow eyes at Firekit, his tail twitching mischievously. "Two can play at that game, y'know," he grinned and then jumped into the snow and began to kick snow up into the air, aiming roughly in Firekit's direction.

Firekit laughed at Sparkkit when he got hit in the face and sneezed. When Sparkkit started kicking snow in her direction. Firekit spitted out the snow, shaking her pelt. "Haha! Nice one!" Firekit spat back, "Now can we start making the snow fortresses or something?" She looked around and saw the big mess they made. "Wow, look at the mess we made!"

Spark-kit grinned at the success of his makeshift "attack". "Yeah!" he mewed enthusiastically and began to look around for a large pile of snow that was fresh. If the snow was old already it'd be quick to melt, which, of course, wouldn't make a very good fortress. He looked around at the mess when Firekit pointed it out. "Oops... oh well, at least we weren't in the den?" he laughed a bit before spotting a good place to start their fortress. "Hey! What about over there?" he pointed at a large snow pile, "does that look like a good place to start building?"

Firekit looked at the large snow that Sparkkit pointed at. "Well okay! That could be fine!" She ran over to the pile and started digging snow and stiffened the snow with her paws. "We'll make our own fortresses and then have a snowball fight!"

[Sparkpaw]

"Awesome!" Spark-kit mewed, racing over to the opposite side of the pile and starting to build his own fort, "but don't expect me to go easy on you!" he called out, deicing to start digging into the snow until he hit the ground and then start building the walls of his fortress, figuring that it'd be quicker that way.

Firekit was about to follow, until she heard Jackalstar call her and Sparkit's name. "Oh! It's ceremonies!" She raced towards where Jackalstar was, "Let's go! We're going to be apprenticed. Aren't you excited?"

Spark-kit's eyes widened. "Ceremonies!?" he raced over next to Firekit, his ears pricked with excitement. "This is awesome! Come on, let's go!" his tail wagged happily, like a dogs, and he began to hop excitedly to where cats that Jackalstar had called began to gather.
