Arrowstar Natalia was angrily stalking around. She'd let her paws carry her where they may, and she'd ended up stomping along the Deathclan-Treeclan border. She was angry because Pain had waited too long. He'd tried to play the waiting game, and they'd lost their chance to attack Iceclan. She was angry because one of the causes Jude had worked for during his life had gone to waste. All because of Pain's lousy leadership. She'd backed him, she didn't regret it. Ash would've been worse. Way worse, without a doubt. She couldn't defend herself for anything. She was thinking Deathclan needed new leadership. Maybe... Maybe that Icy girl. She seemed strong and intelligent. Vicious. A woman of action. Yes, she'd approach Icy. For now... She needed some time to herself. Try to relax. Calm down enough to pretend she was okay, when she really wasn't. It wasn't working. Which led to her suddenly growing hyper alert when she heard a branch snap. She whipped around, ears folded back and openly hissing at whoever it was there. "Who the Hell are you?!"

Just doing what he did best... patrolling. Arrowstar glanced around the area near the rogue-claimed lands, DeathClan they call it. He didn't trust a group of cats with such a dangerous name, but they definitely beat FireClan any day of the week.
He hadn't been expecting someone to actually be there when he got there, so Arrowstar hadn't been careful with his footsteps. He only scowled when the branch broke, but his hackles jumped to attention at the sound of a hostile voice and an unfamiliar smell. Apparently those rogues wandered more than he thought.
"None of your business, rogue," the TreeClan leader replied, standing tall and threatening at the hostile cat. His amber eyes were narrowed and sharp, not looking away from this cat for a single moment. "Why are you so close to our clan?"

Natalia's fur bristled. "I'm on my side of the dumb scent border! What's it to you, squirrel-face?!" Came the snappish, and definitely temperamental reply. Which... Admittedly was more than a little bit hypocritical.
Unlike many rogues, Natalia actually really liked spending her time in the trees. She was pretty comfortable at high altitudes, amongst the leaves. Thus, the hypocrisy.

"I'm well aware, but why are you so close to my clan?" Arrowstar asked more forcefully, letting his ears lay flat against his skull. His tail lashed with agitation at the she-cat, and he came as close as he dared without stepping over his scent line.
"You appear to pose a threat to my clan, and therefore I must handle it. I'll ask again. Why are you here?"

Natalia forced her fur to lie flat, her tail lashing behind her. "I just wandered here." She snarled through her teeth. "I have literally no intentions of doing anything to your clan, alright? I'm not dumb. I'm not so arrogant to believe I can take Treeclan on my own."

He saw some of her tension leave her as her fur rested naturally on her neck and back. Arrowstar forced himself to do the same, though he held his ground on his side of the border. A small snort left his nose, a smirk curling on his lips. "At least you know it to be true. You sound different from your other friends," he responded, refusing to call the rogue group a clan.

Natalia huffed. "They're not my friends." She insisted. The only cat she could confidently call a friend was dead. She wanted to hit this guy. Really badly. Wipe that stupid smirk off his face. "Maybe you should stop generalizing like a self-righteous fox-heart." She growled at him. "You can't just slap a label on cats and call it a day."

A spark of interest flashed in the TreeClan leader's eyes. "Really, now?" he said, tilting his head slightly. "It's true, isn't it? There's so many of those rogues who think they can topple an entire clan on their own. I'm not wrong," he replied with a snort.

Natalia growled, folding her ears back. "Really, are you now?" She replied sarcasm dripping from her voice like acid. "You're not exactly helping your image either. A self-righteous jerk who thinks he's right all of the time, who thinks everyone who isn't part of his little group is trash." She huffed.
"You're exactly the kind of guy I hate."

Arrowstar had to laugh a bit at her hostility. "Like I care how other cats see me. I only care about my clan. And, you shouldn't be quick to label, yourself. I actually hold a level of respect for some outsiders. Just not them all," he replied smoothly.
"Get in line. There's so many more ahead of you, sweetheart."

Natalia rolled her eyes. "Uh huh. Glad to hear you admit to being self-centered." She nodded. "Great job." She gave him a condescending look. "Hmph. I never said a thing about the rest you clan cats. I'm just making observations on you." She tilted her head.
"Yeah, I don't really care. Nice to know you think you're better than me. Guess what, you're really not."

"Ah, but you're still labeling yes? Don't be a hypocrite," Arrowstar threw back at the she-cat. The tom shrugged, glancing to the side like he was bored. "I disagree with that, but whatever. It's not like you'll listen."
Glancing back at her, Arrowstar snorted. "Don't you have something better to do than insult me and argue? I actually came here to make sure those demons haven't crossed the border, and you're kind of distracting."

Natalia rolled her eyes. "Likewise." She replied, finally giving up on trying to convince this guy of anything, really. He seemed to have a thick skull that wasn't keen on listening to anything. Tch. Typical.
She huffed. "Oh, this is rich. You believe in demons? Or you talking about people? Hah."

Arrowstar laughed. "Like I'd reveal my religious beliefs to you. But, I was referring to people, yes. DeathClanners, is that right?" He snorted. "A terrible name for a clan. Not even a clan, not really. Just a bunch of rogues that want to be a clan."

Natalia rolled her eyes. "I didn't pick the name. We're not trying to be a clan." She was under no illusions that Deathclan even tried to resemble a clan. It wasn't. They lived in the same space, but it was extraordinarily easy to avoid people and you tended to have allies instead of friends. She huffed.
