So there had been a change in leadership
Arrowstar, formally Arrowstrike was now the leader of TreeClan. Mothflight hoped that he would be a strong leader for TreeClan, TreeClan needed a strong leader. The golden tabby didn't know what happened to Spiderstar. It was most likely that he had just disappeared one day and never came back. Mothflight had hardly known Spiderstar, all she had known was that he was leader of TreeClan before Arrowstar claimed leadership.
The golden tabby soon caught the scent of the new leader. "Greetings." The she-cat dipped her head.

Arrowstar entered his clan carrying a squirrel in his jaws, his fluffy tail flicking behind him. He had decided he'd waited long enough for Spiderstar's return. It was better to assume the tom was dead and take his nine lives to protect his clan. The change in power was still really surprising and hadn't sunk in completely.
As he set the squirrel in the pile, he heard a she-cat speak her greetings. Arrowstar turned his head and paused before nodding back. "Hello. Good day, isn't it?"

Mothflight nodded. It was still chilly out but it was still a perfect day to be out hunting. She then got an idea. 'I should ask him to go hunting, the fresh-kill pile is kinda empty and the kits need to be fed.' The golden tabby then sighed. Arrowstar would never agree to go on a hunt with a young inexperienced warrior like her. He was far too busy but Mothflight decided that she would ask anyways.
"Would you like to go on a hunt, I saw a couple of squirrels around."

It seemed like there was an almost awkward silence that hung between the tom and the she-cat. But just as Arrowstar opened his mouth to say something, Mothflight asked to go on a hunt. He closed his jaws and gave a brief nod. "Of course. Shall we head out then?" he asked, indicating to the tunnel that lead out of the camp.

Mothflight nodded. She was about to motion for him to follow her but then she realized that he was the leader here. The leaders led and warriors followed. "Do you want to lead?" The golden tabby asked tilting her head from one side to another as she waited for his response. While she waited the she-cat gave her paw a quick lick and drew it between her ears.

Arrowstar paused, suddenly feeling a bit flustered and nervous. Why was he being so awkward? Probably because he hardly interacted with anyone, and he had just gotten such a high position. It was still odd... "I will," the tom answered, heading to the entrance. He exited the camp, pausing to make sure the she-cat was following behind him.
