IceClan had recently returned to their home and Cinderflame had been named deputy. Why, she didn't know why, Fallenstar must have trusted her. The she-cat had been trying to make an effort. Cinderflame hunted everyday, trying catch at least something for her new clanmates.
The black-furred feline padded into the camp, a snow-shoe hare handing from her jaws. Cinderflame dropped her prey into the fresh-kill pile before laying down. She was tired and wanted to have some rest but Cinderflame didn't know if deputies were allowed to sleep during the day time. They were probably always busy.
Cinderflame sighed and sat up before tasting the air. She caught the scent of another cat. Her tail twitched.
"Who is it?"

Sunshadow stepped forward, her yellow eyes narrowed suspiciously. "I should be asking you that." She croaked, her voice wiry and cold. Her thin tail swept against the ground lightly, and she carried herself in a tense, cautious fashion. It had been moons since she'd been in this camp, and even more moons since her kithood, when she grew up with Wildstar as her leader, and as for the deputy, she couldn't remember that much. But she knew that it certainly hadn't been this Cinderflame, a cat that Sunshadow did not recognize.
She faced the deputy, emitting an air of hostility. Sunshadow had always been the paranoid type, and a sudden change in leadership did no good to her mind.
"Do you know who I am?" Sunshadow asked. In her opinion, a deputy should know all the cats in their clan.

Cinderflame stood up, glaring at the she-cat.
"You should know, haven't you been listening to the clan announcements. I'm Cinderflame, deputy of this clan." She growled coldly before twitching her tail. "Shouldn't you be out hunting instead of lazing around in camp, the kits and elders need to be fed."
The black she-cat had no idea who this she-cat was. Who did she think she was, questioning her deputy. Cinderflame didn't know everyone yet, she had just been recently made deputy anyways. She didn't answer the other she-cat's question.

"I haven't been assigned to a patrol." Sunshadow immediately snapped back. Picking fights with the deputy was of poor taste, but the golden tabby was both stubborn and argumentative enough to try it.
She rolled her eyes. "And anyways, I was just getting reacquainted with the place. Since, y'know, I used to live here." Sunshadow's tail twitched in irritation, her usually sleek pelt somewhat ruffled, from both annoyance and from being unkempt in general. "I was just going to go out into the territory when I saw you skulking around. Why aren't you taking care of your duties, deputy?"

Cinderflame growled.
"Go hunting anyways, I want to see you making an effort, unless you want to be assigned to clean the nursery for a moon." She snapped. She didn't have to prove herself to this bad tempered cat. The black she-cat twitched her tail. "You have no business in what I do, I perform my duties well unlike you."
Cinderflame wanted to scratch her muzzle but she knew that wasn't the proper deputy thing to do. The black she-cat narrowed her eyes into slits and flicked her tail towards the camp exit.

"You're just ordering me around because you don't like what I have to say." Sunshadow was fully planning on going hunting, but she didn't feel as if this conversation was finished. Her tail slowly ticked back and forth, her muscles tensed, and she gave the deputy a look of disgust.
"What duties have you been preforming, hmm? All I see is a she-cat loafing around, and using her status against cats she disagrees with. You aren't questioning anyone else on why they aren't hunting." Sunshadow stubbornly held her ground against Cinderflame, her lip curling.

Cinderflame narrowed her eyes.
"You got alot of nerve to come up here and start an arguement" She growled The black she-cat didn't like the way the golden tabby was speaking to her, none of the highranks would probably.
"Seriously, can you not see. I hunt everyday for this clan that I wasn't born into and your questioning me." She snapped. "It seems like your in a bad mood today. Go on a walk, nobody wants a bad tempered cat around."

Sunshadow drew in a deep breath, trying to calm herself down enough so that she wouldn't start yelling, something she tended to do. She could see that being snippish was getting her nowhere, even if in her opinion the deputy deserved it, and it was just giving her a taste of her own medicine.
"As soon as I leave, you're just going to go back to laying around." She implored, lightly scratching a paw against the ground, taking out her irritation on the ground beneath her.
"Come on, prove me wrong." Sunshadow challenged Cinderflame, her eyes glinting.

Cinderflame narrowed her eyes.
"Of course your wrong." She snapped twitching her tail before staring at her. 'Does she really want me to start a fight.' "I'm gonna have you go clean the nursery until you calm down a bit, ok." The black she-cat then narrowed her eyes. "Do you really want to fight because you know you wouldn't fair well in a little battle. I don't need to prove myself to a disrespectful cat like you anyways."

"Okay, okay, I'll go clean the nursery, and after that, I'll even go hunting. Just for you." Sunshadow drawled out, making a show out of rolling her eyes. She did plan on doing as she said, though, perhaps it would even be nice to meet new kits and then get reacquainted with the territory.
She brushed her tail against Cinderflame as she started to leave. "Nobody is going to take away your position, relax. You're acting like you care more about being powerful and respected than you do for your actual clan-mates."

Cinderflame narrowed her eyes. "Good." She growled. The black she-cat hoped that she mean't her word. Anyways there were little apprentices these days, someone had to clean out the dens.
"I'm just doing what I'm supposed to be doing. I never asked for my position anyways but now I'm here." She snapped. "You don't even know what I do for the clanmates I don't even know."
(Sorry, short a bit)
