Crystalbird rolled her eyes. "Oh yeah, because that'll go great." Suddenly she adopted a mocking tone. "'Oh, Arrowstar, won't you tell me why you're such a grump? Is it because of your tragic past that I definitely feel entitled to know?'" She dropped the silly voice and shook her head. "Yeah, no. Besides, I don't go prying into other people's business."

Liongrowl muttered something under his breath about sarcastic she cats and then stated, "Well. Perhaps I will go see him. I am a medicine cat and I'm supposed to see what the hell is wrong with people anyway aren't I?" He asked, a little bit snippy for his liking. "Now I don't know where that came from... anyway, I'll speak to him and see how he is. I should speak to him regardless since his visit with CloudClan and the receiving of his nine lives." The orange tom soothed his fur and ran a paw over his ear in the process.

((Too bad not sure the medicine cats have degrees in psychology.
Crystalbird rolled her eyes at the comment muttered under Liongrowl's breath that she heard anyways. "Hm. Well, it's in the name, isn't it?" She quipped. She shrugged. "Eh. Get irritated enough, anyone gets a little sarcastic." She shrugged again. "Alright." She didn't have much to say about that. Though... She didn't really understand the purpose of having nine lives for the leaders. The idea of longevity scared her, honestly. She wasn't even sure she believed it. But... Still.

(let's just say Liongrowl's been studying... he gets curious.)
Liongrowl decided to change the mood a little bit. "Well we need not sit around and complain about Arrowstar all day am I right? Someone could overhear." He inhaled through his nose, catching a whiff of the trees in the process. Not impossible as they are in TreeClan. Land of trees. For some reason he always found the second of the two to be more entertaining. "Anything else you want to share? Perhaps news or if you've met other's in the clan you've grown an ill taste for?" He asked sarcastically, not really to get under her skin and make her mad but more of see what she'd do. If she was mad, he'd find out.

Crystalbird rolled her eyes. "Like I care what other's think." She muttered under her breath, barely audible. She shrugged. She didn't take offense to Liongrowl's next inquiring statement. "Eh. Not really. Not really the sharing type, me. I believe in privacy." She put emphasis on the word privacy. It was a thing she respected, unless someone's life was in danger. Usually. Pranks did not follow this rule. She would definitely invade your personal space to prank you. Pry into your dark mysterious past? No. That wasn't her style.

Liongrowl raised a kitty eyebrow and just shrugged. "Okay. Keep your privacy. Keep all your secrets. Is there anything simple I could ask? Favorite prey?" He asked, wondering if she'd even let him hear that. "Other than that I'll respect your privacy." His stomach began to rumble at the thought of prey. He didn't hunt and sometimes felt guilty about eating food other adults hunted for him. Would that be so odd?

Crystalbird was actually rather relieved that Liongrowl did not continue to press, though she did not show it. "Eh. Don't have a favorite." She had spent a long while on her own, and you couldn't really be picky when you were on your own. Besides, anything was better than the crap she was fed as a little kid.

Liongrowl gave an understanding nod. "That's not a bad thing. When you take what you get, you will never be disappointed." He wondered for a few minutes of the previous pieces of prey that he had eaten. "I think the last thing I ate was a vole. So I would have to go with that for a favorite. If I can I will eat one. Though I feel guilty eating prey that I cannot catch myself. Is that weird to you?" He asked though remembered she had the I don't give a mouse dung attitude about what others were thinking.

Crystalbird hummed in response. "Exactly. Unless you don't get anything. Though, I imagine anyone would be disappointed with those results." Then Liongrowl continued speaking. She tilted her head. "No. It isn't weird." She raised a fictional eyebrow. "You saying you can't catch voles?" She asked, her voice suddenly sharp. Admittedly... She understood the concept of hunting for those who couldn't themselves. Like kits, elders, and queens attending to their kits. However... She perceived Liongrowl as a perfectly capable, adult male.
Excuse her, if she didn't quite understand it if he couldn't catch a vole.

Liongrowl gave a light roll of his eyes. She didn't understand. "It's not that I can't necessarily catch a vole although I haven't done so lately. I just typically get fed by those around me. 'Feed kits and queens first, don't forget the medicine cats' yatayatayata. All that. It's not typical for a medicine cat to go hunt. Sure I could. But have you ever seen a medicine cat hunting?" He asked, wondering if she had or hadn't.

Crystalbird wasn't exactly great sometimes at picking up on things... She really should've. She was great at a lot of things, just not... Talking... To anyone really. Unless she didn't like them. It was a lot easier to be a pain in the neck than it was to be nice and friendly, honestly.
She shrugged. "The forest is a big place." She replied simply.

He gave a nod. "Yeah it is. Well perhaps one day you will be able to see a medicine cat hunt," Liongrowl said vaguely. It was time for him to hunt a piece of prey or two. It had been a while though so he wasn't so sure if he'd enjoy hunting with others or by himself. But at least he knew if the deputy could laugh at him and he be okay he should be fine whether someone else laughed at him or not. Liongrowl knew it would be an odd sight to see but he had seen some cats be trained before and why should he be any different?

Crystalbird shrugged. "Maybe." Though, personally... She believed it was only a matter of time. If you waited long enough, you amassed all sorts of experiences. She was on the younger side, so while it wasn't like she was born yesterday and knew nothing of the world... There were plenty of cats older than her with more experience. She refused to think it was wisdom, because more experience never meant you were right more of the time. Hmph.

Liongrowl looked at her with a tilt of his head. "Yeah you will. I haven't hunted much but I do think I could do a thing or two. I could sure use a hunting party though. If you don't mind joining a poor helpless medicine cat on a hunt at some point or another," He said, looking a bit hopeful. She had more experience than him when it came to hunting he was certain of. But there wasn't an issue with learning new things when you reach a certain point in life. Let's just say it's his midlife crisis.

Crystalbird tilted her head and then shrugged, closing her eyes briefly as she did so. "Eh. Sure. I suppose I can spare a few hours of my time." Her words were accompanied by a small smile. Though, she highly doubted that Liongrowl was as poor and helpless as he claimed. The medicine cat likely knew how to defend himself, since she imagined it'd be best if your one and only healer wasn't a sitting duck that doubled as a punching bag for your enemies.
