Laurelkit's eyes widened as she saw another cat rather close turn in her direction. Hidden in the shadows, she was quite certain they hadn't seen her, but being the shy cat that she was she moved to another spot, in deeper and darker shadows. There were so many cats there, so unlike her life before she ran into the swarm of cats traveling in this direction. Since they were nice enough she had went with them but... Now that she was surrounded but the bustling camp she wasn't sure it was the right desision. But they treated her like their young now. So over protective. She just wasn't used to it and never would be. "Hello." she said, reflexively with a fake but natural smile as she turned to a cat in her perifical vision.

"Hello." Peachglow mewed, looking down warmly at the kit. She hadn't gotten the chance to get to know very many cats, including the kits of the clan, which was a shame, because she really did enjoy being around them.
She flicked her plumed tail, cocking her head at the precious thing, recognizing her as Laurelkit, one of her adopted kits. "What are you doing out here?" Peachglow swept her soft tail around the she-kit. Peachglow really, really couldn't help feeling protective of kits, and the reason why was something she tended to avoid.

Laurelkit smiled at Peachglow. At least it was someone she knew. "I can't just be expected to sit in the den all day. There's too many cats in to small a place." she responded in a childish voice, though it was an honest answer. She was used to having a lot of open space with few cats before she joined Iceclan, so it was a lot more to get used to that just having to stay in one spot all day and being provided for. "Are you out here today for any particular reason?" she asked, ducking back slightly, "Because if you are I do not wish to get in your way."

Peachglow dipped her head in understanding. "Yes, you have gotten quite a bit bigger, the nursery must feel cramped." She mused, relating to how Laurelkit felt. She still wasn't used to clan life herself yet, there were just so many cats.
"..No, not really." The cream she-cat shrugged at the question. She was more or less just watching the other cats, trying to get familiar with them at a distance.
"Is there anything that you'd like to do? Kits here play games, right?" Peachglow had never played games when she was a kit, her mother wasn't that type of cat.

"Well, that and I was used to living in a more... expasive place before. I guess you'd know," Laurelkit responded. She knew that Peachglow had grown up out of the clan too, but never really relized all that that meant. But then again, Peachglow could leave camp anytime she wanted, so the level of change wasn't quite the same, but the other cat had also been growing use to more space much longer than Laurelkit had. "Not really. I'm just trying to stay out of the way. There are too many cats doing to many things, so that's really all I can do to help."

"You'll be an apprentice before you know it, you should enjoy the soft life of a clan-kit while you still can." Peachglow soothed, her eyes unfocused as she thought of how she was never able to experience a loving, comfortable kit-hood.
Clan life was very odd. Peachglow felt much more safe, but also more cramped. It was both stressful and calming, but she knew that it was obviously a better alternative to life as a rogue. She looked down at Laurelkit, feeling a rush of warmth for the young cat. "Everyone loves kits, even if you are in the way, no cat will stay cross with you."

Laurelkit nodded. "I din't understand it. Why wouldl they comfort their young all their lives until they become an apprentice? Cats need more structure, esspeciallly when they are young." she tilted her head. "Clan life is definatly differant."
(Peachglow, just curious since it's been a while, do we want to cary on the thread a little as Laurelpaw's past or just close it up?)
