Cinderflame

Laurelkit's gaze traveled across camp as she stood in some shadows near the entrance of camp. She kept to the edge and made her way to the less busy part of camp where she sat in the snow, her tail curled over her paws. She smiled as another cat approached, recognizing them as the deputy. "Hello." she said with a nod of the head. She didn't know the deputy's name, but she was just learning the rank system and all, so it wasn't quite the time she would be expected to know the names of cats. "I'm Laurelkit."

Cinderflame liked kits but she never let it show.

They were so cute and fluffy and had adorable little faces. It would be nice to meet one of the kits of the clan before she grew up. She spotted a kitten near her, sitting with here tail curled around her paws. "Hello there Laurelkit." The deputy greeted before her gaze fixed on the kit. 

She didn't want anyone to see that she was being soft on the kit, so her voice sounded like normal. Cinderflame waited for the kit to speak again

"Hello- Er... deputy." she responded a bit aquardly, as she did not know his name.

(Cinder is a female if you didn't know, I think in your post you said she was a he)

Cinderflame looked at the kit with amber eyes. She didn't know what else to say. What did kits like to talk about? The black she-cat didn't really know. "Are you excited for your apprenticeship?" It was the only question the deputy could think of.

Laurelkit shugged. "I guess I am. I'm not sure," she responded with a smile. Although she was used to being able to go more places from before she joined the clan, she also knew a bit about everything that was to be taught, so she didn't have quite the same edg to the excitment as other kits may have.

Cinderflame stared at her.

She was surprised that this kit wasn't that excited. She just then sighed since she didn't really care after all. What did this kit like? What did this like to do? 'Aren't kits supposed to be all jumpy, happy and energetic.'

Laurelkit blinked. "I guess most kits are diferant than me," she said with a small smile. "But most other kits also dont have the same history as me."
"What were you like as a kit?"

Cinderflame looked at her. If all kits were the same then that would be boring. The deputy herself preferred the more quieter kits then the loud energetic ones. "Me as a kit?" It had been many moons since she had been a kit. She didn't remember much. "I want to talk about it."

Laurelkit shruggged. "Ok then." she responed.

Cinderflame didn't know what else to talk about. She wasn't used to talking with kits, it had been many moons since she had been one herself. "Umm I should be getting back to my duties."

"Well then I shouldn't get in your way. Is there anything I can help you with?" she asked, trying not to sound like she was pleading. Though she rarely even admitted it to herself, it did get sort of boring around there.

Cinderflame shook her head. She didn't need help. She was perfectly capable with doing her duties. The black she-cat sighed as she answered. "No thanks, you could always go ask some of the apprentices to help them."
