SwanfrostThunderpaw padded into the den almost lazily. It had been a tiring day and it felt like he had more work to do. He felt like wandering in and throwing moss over his head but he decided just to lay down in his nest he built and hoped that someone would come in and block out the pain of his feet. His muscles ached as he laid down as well but thankfully he sensed someone familiar nearby. "Hey who's there?"

Swanpaw was just about to leave the den, hoping to find something interesting to do when a familiar voice called out to her. She turned, raising a confused brow before she spotted Thunderpaw, curled up in his nest. "Oh come on, don't tell me you forgot about me already." She teased, moving towards him with a small grin.

His 'beginning to muscle up self' rippled as Thunderpaw sat up in his nest, rather happy to see Swanpaw. "Swanpaw who? I'm kidding! Of course I couldn't forget you." He gave a grin himself just from her entrance. "So... Swanpaw huh? Happy to be out of that nursery?" He asked.

Swanpaw rolled her eyes lightly at his joke, sitting down in front of his nest. She tilted her head in thought at his question, nodding her head after a moment. "Yeah, but there's a lot more work than I thought there would be." She admitted, noting just how sore her legs were from the territory tour.

He gave a nod. "Yeah I know the feeling. It's interesting. I did the tour with another apprentice, Jaguarpaw. Our mentor Aspenfang decided to take the both of us out at once." He wasn't so sure what he thought about that but at the same time if it was easier on his mentor, so be it.

"Jaguarpaw? Ahh, I know him." Swanpaw made an odd expression. The last they talked they were on good terms, but she still wasn't sure how she felt about him. Then again, she didn't really have an opinion that she stuck with on anyone.

He shook his head. "He seems very interested in battle which in the manner he was acting was a bit odd. He wasn't exactly the friendliest of toms." Thunderpaw remembered when he first met the other tom. He seemed to be annoyed by his good morning mood.

Swanpaw shrugged nonchalantly, curling her tail neatly around her paws. "He isn't so bad once you get used to him. Anyway, I'm not the friendliest of she cats either, so what's the difference?" She asked rhetorically. Before waiting for a response she stood, beckoning him over with her tail. "How about we go explore the territory a bit?" Stormfrost did say not to go alone, and Thunderpaw was better then taking someone else.

He looked at her and heaved his weight up onto his haunches. "I suppose so." He looked over at her. "If you think you can handle it." The tom stood up and hoped that all would be well. He hadn't been out on his own before and it was hopeful that they'd be able to make it back without a problem too.

"Of course I can handle it!" Swanpaw huffed in annoyance, standing a little straighter. She marched out of the territory, assuming he was following behind her. She would prove to him that she was just as capable as he was, if not more.

Thunderpaw wandered after her and didn't mean to offend her but he worried. He trotted after her, keeping up. "So what do we do?" He asked. He hadn't been out into the territory for anything other than training.

Swanpaw hadn't thought that far. She pursed her lips, looking around hesitantly. Her confidence had faded at the realization that they were outside, alone, untrained. "Uhh, I don't know... What do you want to do?" She questioned, giving him a sideways glance.

He shook his head. "Perhaps we could try to hunt? Always good to bring back prey to the camp if we can find any." Thunderpaw looked around from his position. It shouldn't be too hard to hunt right? Although it was Leafbare.

"Did your mentor go over hunting with you already? Mine didn't." She looked around anyway, trying to catch the scent of prey. She was sure it smelled quite different alive, the only time she had gotten a whiff was from the prey pile.

He shook his head with a goofy grin. "Nope! Don't mean we can't try!" Thunderpaw looked over at Swanpaw, wondering if she'd be up for it but to be honest he wasn't so sure how well they'd do out in the field for their first time without a mentor guiding them.
