Icekit started wide-eyed at the entrance to the medicine den. There's probably all sorts of poisonous plants in there. Maybe even cats with even more life-threatening sicknesses than my own, the fearful tom-kit had sneezed earlier that morning, and had since been dreading the worst. Maybe I can just go back to the nursery and quietly waste away in my nest, the pale kitten was about to turn tail and bolt back to the nursery before a high-pitched sneeze wracked his frail body He took a deep breath, mustering up all the courage he had. Dear CloudClan, make my death quick, he closed his eyes tight, stumbling into the medicine den. If I keep my eyes shut none of the poisonous plant fumes will be able to penetrate me through my eye holes. He figured that his nose would be safe since it was already clogged up with boogers.
"Anemonemist ?" he called out timidly, trying his best to speak while also attempting to keep his mouth closed. It made his words come out muffled and barley understandable.

Her ears perked, a bit surprised by the company. Hmm. It seemed as time wore on, the medicine den became a more needed place to visit for her Clanmates. With a soft sigh, Anemonemist placed the squeaky voice to be a kit, and she instantly scowled once her assumptions were correct. She did not like kits. They were weak, annoying, dumb, stubborn, sickly little beasts that screamed and grew up as immature as they started. Tch, it was her lucky day.
As the medicine cat walked closer to the pathetic scrap, her eyes narrowed with concern towards his shut eyes and nasally tone. What, did the brat blind himself? "Where's your mother?" Anemonemist asked, in a surprisingly gentler response than what she was expecting. The silver speckled she-cat peered behind the kitten, but found he was alone. How odd.
As the kit was not screaming, Anemonemist threw out the likelihood he was blind. "What's your ailment?" she demanded briskly.

Icekit peeked his eyes open just the tinniest bit when he heard another cat approach, instantly relieved when it was the medicine cat, Anemonemist, and not some savage FireClan warrior that had snuck into their camp and begun to weed off every warrior one-by-one starting with those that were already weak.
"Um, well, I-I-I don't exactly k-know," he stuttered, shuffling his paws. He hadn't seen Poppynose for some time. Maybe an eagle got her, he shivered. Eagles were terrifying. Huge feathered beasts with nine foot talons and eyes that could see through stone. Icekit felt queazy just thinking about them. He swayed a bit, knees feeling weak.
The kitten flinched at the medicine cat's brisk tone, ears lying flat in reflex. "I-I've b-b-b-b--" he was cut off by a loud, highly pitched sneeze, "been sneezing."

Hmm. Guess this kitten was out on his own. Odd. And annoying. Anemonemist didn't need an independent, stupid brat stumbling around camp unsupervised. But then again, cats tended to go missing. The medicine cat supposed that was the likely reason he was alone at the moment.
Sneezing. Kitten cough? Maybe the start of Whitecough? Leave it to a kit to be the beginning of a contaminated Clan. "How long have you been sneezing for?" she asked, drawing closer to press her ear against his chest and listen to his lungs. "Breathe in and out for me, slowly."
