Firebird was an early riser, so by the time dawn had finally approached, the ginger warrior was groomed and well-fed for the day. Her moss green eyes peered towards the apprentice's den, taking her time to enjoy the rising sun for a bit longer before she rose up and trotted over there.
As Firebird poked her head inside the warm den, the soft snoring of apprentices made her smile. She tried to find @smokescreen and Briarpaw in the darkness, although among all the pelts, she couldn't quite pinpoint either of them. "Smokypaw, Briarpaw!" she meowed, waiting for them to wake up. "Time for training! Eat breakfast before we leave-- we won't be back for a long time."
And she stepped out, going to wait by the camp entrance, although not close enough to disturb the warriors sitting vigil.

Of course, the obnoxious she-cat who thought she was more important, because she went around bossing people around was his training partner. Ugh.
Smokypaw, in short, was not satisfied being forced to train alongside Briarpaw.
He grouchily moaned in response, hating his mentor for waking them up so early. He needed his beauty sleep, darn it! He covered his face with his paws, and pulled down. Then he slowly got to his paws, dragging his paws and tail outside and gave Firebird a dirty look. Then he dragged himself over to the fresh-kill pile to grab a shrew or something for himself.

Training, great.
Briarpaw wasn't looking foward to training, especially because her training partner was Smokypaw. She didn't really like Smokypaw but she would have to get used to training with him. Her eyes narrowed as she padded out of the apprentice's den, fur groomed.
The brown tabby maine coon didn't even look at Smokypaw as she trotted over to the fresh-kill pile to grab a mouse fort herself. Briarpaw wasn't very that hungry.

Firebird's eyes narrowed with confusion at the dirty look Smokypaw had given her. Hmm. What an odd one there. Hopefully he wouldn't pose any problems during training. Otherwise, Firebird would probably not hesitate to send him back to camp for the rest of the day to clean the dens.
Once the apprentices were done eating, and had approached her, the ginger warrior began to speak in a calm voice. "Today, we will tour the entirety of FireClan territory. I will show you the borders and landmarks we own and protect. We will be out of camp for the whole day, and will probably stop at one of these landmarks for a break sometime around sunhigh. Hunting practice may also be slipped in here or there, so make sure you're not making so much noise as to scare all the prey away."
"If you have any questions, feel free to ask them." She gave a dip of her head, before turning and leading the way out of camp.
The first destination was the Graveyard, as it was on the way to TreeClan's border. Firebird planned to make her way along this border to Dandelion Hill, and RockClan's border, including the river and pond that came from RockClan's territory. By sunhigh, she hoped they would be at Blossom Pond or Reed Beds so they could do a bit of hunting.
As she spotted the twelve Twoleg headstones sticking out of the ground, Firebird realized she had arrived. This was one of the only places the forest grew onto FireClan's territory, as little as it was. "This is the Graveyard. As you can tell, those are Twoleg gravestones over there. It's a spooky place at night." Firebird meowed.

Smokypaw was interested in being able to navigate the territory properly. He wasn't sure if he'd be allowed out of camp without supervision, but he'd find time to sneak out even if that was the case. As much as hanging around and laughing at other's expenses were his idea of a good time... He needed some time to himself as well.
He yawned. "Sure, sure." He rolled his eyes. He had a habit of not making much noise as he walked, as opposed to the kits who all thundered about, squealing and yowling. He figured being quiet with his movements out in the territory wouldn't be much of a stretch.
Without another word, he followed after Firebird, making sure to smack Briarpaw across the face with his tail as he walked past her.
The first place they encountered gave off a disturbing vibe, but he wasn't bothered. He thought it was cool at a glance, but honestly got boring after the first second and a half. He got a good look at the place, and honestly... It wasn't that special after he got that good look. He thought the rocks were weird... But not enough to hold his attention. His eyes lazily wandered. Then he rolled his eyes again at Firebird's description of the place.

Briarpaw wasn't that interested about the territory but still she liked to know how to get around. In her opinion territory tours were boring and she especially didn't want to train with Smokypaw. Infact she hated Smokypaw, she hated the way he acted. Briarpaw grumbled and followed Firebird. She listened carefully as the warrior spoke, she didn't want to forget anything. Briarpaw wanted to be a mature and calm warrior when she grew up but it didn't help that she was training with Smokypaw.
"Ok." Was all she said after Firebird finished speaking. Briarpaw didn't feel like asking questions so she just stayed silent. But then a tail smacked her in the face. The maine coon hissed and narrowed her eyes at Smokypaw. Was he determined to hurt her?
"That's not how a proper apprentices behaves."

Firebird caught the eye roll from Smokypaw. And she was honestly about to say something about it, if not beaten to the chase by Briarpaw. The ginger warrior sighed, at least knowing her apprentice didn't just have a vendetta against only her.
She'd give him one last chance to fix his attitude. And Firebird made this known by giving Smokypaw a warning glance, before she pushed on to the TreeClan border.
The Sun Stones were next. And the collection of rocks were certainly eye-catching, at least to Firebird. She thought this place was pretty sweet. "This is the Sun Stones. During green-leaf, the stones provide nice sunning for any cat, except you should always remember to be wary of adders who come for the warmth themselves. One bite, and any cat can wind up in CloudClan. FireClan and TreeClan fight over this border a lot, actually." At the moment, she wasn't certain who held the most territory at this spot. Possibly since it was leaf-bare, the border line was more equal.
She turned to Smokypaw and Briarpaw. "Quiz time. Do either of you two know the high ranks of TreeClan? Or what makes TreeClan different from FireClan?"

Smokypaw looked over his shoulder back at Briarpaw and wore a condescending expression on his face. "You're even stupider than I thought, if you thought I'd care." He said mockingly, before returning to looking forward and following Firebird. He huffed and rolled his eyes again at the warning glance he got from Firebird.
He didn't have to get along with anyone, as long as he pulled his own weight. He was fine. He wasn't useless and he didn't need someone bossing him around every two seconds, like Briarpaw seemed determined to do. Tch. How annoying.
He followed Firebird to a weird place that had rocks sticking out of the ground everywhere, rocks big and flat enough for adults to curl up on. Not that he would, what with it being freezing and the stones being likely even colder than the air. Cold in Leaf-bare and snakes in Greenleaf? This sounded like a terrible place to hang out, if you valued your self-preservation. Which he did.
He sighed. "High ranks? The positions themselves are the same through all four clans, right? I think some cat named Arrowstar is the leader. Haven't got a clue about the rest of the high ranking officials in Treeclan. As for differences... They have trees."

Briarpaw tried ignoring Smokypaw, it was better if she did. The tabby didn't want to be the one to cause trouble. She narrowed her eyes at Smokypaw before trotting ahead of him, not wanting to look back at him. Smokypaw was the worst cat she had ever met in her entire life.
As the three cats reached Sun Stones, Briarpaw scanned her surroundings. The Sun Stones was indeed a beautiful place. Her eyes grew wide when Firebird mentioned adders but then her expression changed back to normal. Briarpaw just hoped that Smokypaw hadn't seen. The tabby didn't want to get bitten.
"Yes Arrowstar is the leader I believe. I think the deputy is called Crystal? Crystalbird? I heard that TreeClan cats are excellent climbers and usually fight in the trees. Some cats call them squirrels."

Firebird nodded slowly as each apprentice responded to her questions. She was glad Smokypaw and Briarpaw could point put Arrowstar as the Clan leader. Things would certainly be rather disappointed if they had failed in knowing such an important and simple fact like that.... And Firebird was a bit surprised that Briarpaw could even point out who was TreeClan's deputy, with a bit of mumbled thinking to help remember Crystalbird's name. "You're right. TreeClan's leader is Arrowstar, and he appointed Crystalbird as his deputy. Liongrowl and Spottedwillow would be their medicine cats, which is important to know as well." she explained, flicking her gaze over to the forestland. Personally, Firebird did not like the trees. They seemed to be more problematic than helpful, at least for her FireClan traits, which pushed her to sprint rather than climb or hide.
"And you're both right again, about the trees." Firebird added with a smile. "TreeClan cats are very good at silent hunting. They use the trees to their advantage, usually climbing them like Briarpaw stated, much like the squirrels they catch."
Turning away, Firebird began to run towards thr next landmark, Dandelion Hill. And by run... she meant full on FireClan sprint. She did not even glance back to see if Briarpar and Smokypaw could catch up with her, as the ginger she-cat shot out across the prairie to the outskirts of the land.
Firebird had a shred of hope that the two wouldn't be able to keep up, and would have to resort in tracking to find their mentor. In fact, with that idea in mind... Firebird began to turn off into different directions to mess with her scent trail, skidding wide circles and patterns so she'd at least remain heading towards the distant landmark.
And when she finally arrived, after a good bit of running, Firebird climbed up Dandelion Hill and settled down at the top, catching her breath.
{ i have no idea with this, just tossing out a new training technique for fun. And sorry for such a late response... I've just gotten to wi-fi today. >_<
