(Loosing muse for titles... (=n=")) Sparkpaw peaked his head in the nursery. He was starting to come here so often that he reeked of milk, and he was sure some of the other apprentices had mistook him for a lost kitten when he had been making his nest the other day. Although, to be fair, he was so small that cats had already been doing that even before he had started making regular visits to the nursery. Not that he would admit to this, it was too embarrassing. "Rosekit?" he mewed curiously, having visited her most recently. He wracked his brain for the names of his other baby sisters, "Palekit? IvyKit ? Mothkit? Anyone home?"

She lifted her head, her pale eyes adjusting. They focused on a car by the entrance and she just tuned in her ears on time to hear him say her name. "Who are you?" Her tiny ears twitched and she stumbled forward out of her nest. It was apparent already where the gene pool had weakened, since the kitten was surprisingly small even for her age and her hearing was slightly impaired.

Sparkpaw crouched down so he could talk to the little she-kit at her eye-level. "Hey there, cutie!" he purred, picking up Frostedsky's scent on her pelt and quickly deducing that she must be one of his baby sisters. "I'm Sparkpaw, your big brother!" his tail wagged happily. Apprenticeship could be a bit stressful sometimes, but being with his family always made him happy. "Now, let's see... are you Palekit or Ivykit?" he tipped his head curiously to the side. He had met Rosekit and Mothkit already, and he knew that Cascadekit had a darker pelt, so he figured that the she-kit must either be Palekit or Ivykit.

She looks up, pale green eyes meeting his. The shekit smiled, shuffling her tiny paws. "I'm Ivykit." For a moment she hesitated and sat, tail straight behind her. "So, how many siblings do we have?" Her orbs blinked curiously, her head tilting.

"Well, let's see..." Sparkpaw tipped his head thoughtfully to the side, trying to remember all of his siblings, "there's you, me, Briarpaw, Rosepaw, Palepaw, Mothpaw, Blank-kit, Cascadekit, and Bearkit...?" Is that all? the orange tom scrunched up his nose in concentration, trying to remember if they had anymore siblings, "I think that's all of us? I'm no good at math so I can't tell you exactly how many that is," Sparkpaw grinned sheepishly, blushing underneath his pelt. He knew what numbers meant, but when it came to stuff like adding and subtracting he was just no good.

"Nine." she answered coolly. The shekit let her partially-deaf ears fall into an awkward half- perk. Green eyes wide and bright, she thought of something and could barely stop the natural disaster of words from tumbling out of her mouth. "So, you, an apprentice, have been out. In the territory, I mean. Outside. The camp."
