Falconpaw
Shiningflame looked up at the sky as she got back to camp. She sat by the freashkillpile for a little bit before locating Falconkit. "Ready for training?" she asked. "If you haven't eaten something you may want to now." she added and waited for a response. 

[Falconpaw]

Falconpaw waited around in camp, waiting for his mentor. He wasn't too sure what the procedure would be, which wasn't something he liked exactly. He liked things to be routine, almost predictable, maybe with a few anomalies now and then. He had been, for the most part, perfectly happy in the nursery. Although there wasn't much to do, and it was a bit cramped. Hopefully being an apprentice will be better, he thought, nose twitching when he picked up a familiar scent. He looked around, finding that it came from Shiningflame. "I guess," he mewed indifferently to her question. He glanced towards the fresh-kill pile. "I'm good," he answered. He had snacked a bit already, and didn't feel like he particularly needed a meal.

Shiningflame nodded. "Alright then, lets go." she said. "Today we'll tour the territory and then do some hunting." she said as she began walking through the territory, then she remained silence until they stood on the Rockclan border. "Do you know what clan this is?"

[Falconpaw]

Falconpaw nodded and trailed after his mentor, looking around the territory with quiet interest as he excited the camp for the first time. He found the territory oddly peaceful, free from the hustle and bustle that took place in camp. He relaxed a bit, enjoying the peace as he followed Shiningflame. His nose wrinkled when they began to approach the RockClan border, although at first he was not able to tell that the strange scent actually came from another group of cats. "It's either the RockClan or IceClan border, right?" he wasn't quite sure which one FireClan shared borders with, although he knew it couldn't be TreeClan because he had been informed that they make homes in a forest, as the name suggests.

"We don't share an order with Iceclan. This is Rockclan. Cloverstar is their leader." she explained and continued walking to the Treeclan border. "And this is Treeclan. Do you know anything about them?" she asked

[Falconpaw]

Falconpaw nodded, burning that fact to memory. He didn't really care all that much which clans FireClan shared borders with, but he assumed that he might get an apprentice of his own one day, and that information might be something they'd like to know. "They've got trees in their territory," Falconpaw mewed blankly, then reminded himself to elaborate, "and... they have a new leader? The one with the strange name," he was referring to Arrowstar, although he often times Falconpaw had troubling remembering the TreeClan leader's name since "arrows" weren't really found in nature.

"Yes. Treeclan's leader is Arrowstar. Arrows are some twoleg tool or another I believe. And there's Arrowroot, the plant, although it's found in rouge territory." she said, blinking. "Do your wish to learn hunting or fighting now?"

[Falconpaw]

So it's Arrowstar? he thought that would be worth remembering as well. If he had just become leader it was likely he would stay so for a long time. "Hunting, I guess," although Falconpaw was better built for hunting he hadn't heard of FireClan being in any quarrels with another clan or rouge group. He was fairly sure hunting would be much more useful to him than battle, at least for now.

Shiningflame nodded with a small smile. Her mentor had picked that to teach her first, and she did suppose it had the most sense. "Ok, so can you show me what you have of a hunting crouch so far? There are many different types, but those are more commonly personally customized from the basic one."

[Falconpaw]

Falconpaw nodded, not quite sure how to do a hunting crouch. He had never found watching apprentice's practicing interesting, and he hadn't been the type of kitten to try out play-hunting. He had spent most of his nursery says wandering around, bored, or taking long naps. "Is this okay?" he looked awkwardly at Shiningflame, knowing that he must be doing something wrong. His form was very stiff, with his tail dragging on the ground, and his legs spread a little too far apart.

Shiningflame nodded. "Its a good start." she responded. "Keep your tail up off the ground, but don't let it wave. Bring your paws in a little and put your weight on your front paws." She herself went into a crouch now just to show Falconpaw.

[Falconpaw]

Falconpaw tried his best to follow her directions, watching Shiningflame carefully and attempting to copy her crouch. It was a little uncomfortable, so he adjusted his weight a bit in a way that was more comfortable for his bulky frame. "How's it this time?" he was a little more confident than he had been before, but his dark face remained in it's usual stoic expression.

Shiningflame inspected the apprentice before nodding. "It looks good. Try to walk like that and we'll she for sure." she responded.

[Falconpaw]

Falconpaw nodded at his mentor's instructions and began to prowl forward. He felt much more comfortable once he was moving, and excitement sparked inside his stomach as he thought of what it would be like to make his first kill. The dusky tom looked over at Shiningflame, wondering whether or not he was doing well.

Shiningflame nodded, sniffing the air slightly to see that there were, in fact, a few rabbits and mice out before turning to Falconpaw. "Sniff the air. What do you smell?"
