Ebonykit padded out of the nursery, her pale eyes glinting in the leaf-bare light. It was morning, after a snow-fall, the sky cloudy, and air still. Ebonykit appreciated this, as when it was windy, the small kit would be knocked over and pushed around. Now, she could relax and take in the beauty of Iceclan's camp, and appreciate nature instead of having to fight it. The dark tabby yawned, opening her pink mouth widely, and arching her back.
She padded further from the nursery, taking a look around, watching cats who were already out and about. Ebonykit felt no desire to go up and try to start up a conversation, instead, she sat down in the shadow of a large stone, and took to watching the various cats, content with getting to know her clan-mates vicariously.

Being back in IceClan camp did wonders to her mood. Despite the lingering effects of the avalanche still seen here or there, Azaleapetal was a lot happier to be... home. Perhaps staying at the barn had been the cause of most of her discomfort and complaints towards her new Clan loyalty. She was at least going to stay optimistic that was the reason.
The pale tabby stopped in alarm the moment her eyes caught on the small figure in her spot. No, Azaleapetal hadn't yet outwardly claimed the shadow of the large stone was her spot, and she only ever talked to one cat who would ever learn this fact anyway. But it was still... still her... spot.
The kitten was small and barely stuck out in the shade, but Azaleapetal wasn't blind.
'Well, I was already clearly walking over here....' the IceClanner thought, as she tried to count how far she was from the kitten. About five mouse-lengths. Yeah, this was awkward.
"...." Without a word, Aza continued her march and instead settled a good distance from the kitten. Scowling at her luck. "...Who do you think you are, taking my spot?" she finally spoke to the she-kit. Although her tone was not kind, it wasn't cruel either. Just... softly demanding? Yeah, that sounded nice.

"It's just a bit of ground." Ebonykit blinked her pale eyes in surprise, not having known that a warrior could act so childish about something so trivial. She wondered who raised this she-cat, as she obviously didn't have a bit of restraint. Of course, it wasn't the she-cat's fault that her parents failed to teach her any good grace, and Ebonykit wasn't all the bothered, if anything, she found it amusing.
The dark she-cat stood up, padding a few steps away so that this she-cat would have her precious spot back. "If I had known you cherished that particular spot so much, I wouldn't have gone near it." Ebonykit soothed. She was already close to becoming an apprentice, and couldn't wait to be out of the nursery, and get the freedom which being an apprentice gave her.
"Perhaps you should mark it with your scent." Ebonykit suggested, only half-joking. If only she were older, then she could properly scold this cat for being so immature about a shadowy scrap of earth.

turtlekit, on the other hand, was trying to make some friends in the camp. so far, he had succeeded in standing there awkwardly and hoping that no one would pay him much mind. it wasn't that the dilute tortoiseshell was scared, just... shy. yeah, he was scared.
but what was this? a kit not much older than him. yes, he would start off small. carefully, he made his way over, stopping in his tracks as a larger clanmate moved into his way. too late now, he thought. "umm, hello," he piped up, sensing some sort of conflict.
