Pikepaw blinked in confusion when a cat he did not recognize began a ceremony. Is he the new deputy? the tabby tom thought, although he had been almost positive that the new deputy was a she-cat... Pikepaw was even more surprised when he was called forward. Did something happen to Fallenstar? he thought worriedly as Thornfrost assigned himself as Pikepaw's mentor. Maybe he's just too busy for it... it was true that the leader hadn't started his training yet. He looked over at Laurelpaw, he was fairly sure she had yet to begin her training as well.

Mintpaw bounced happily around as she was awarded her apprentice name. She looked over at the other cats who had become apprentices, and smiled warmly at them. "Congradulations, Pikepaw!" she said to a cat she'd never met; however, she'd picked up his name from the ceremony.

Sunshadow blinked in surprise as she was named mentor, her gaze scanning over the recently apprenticed cats, and settling on Laurelpaw. It had been a long time since she'd had an apprentice, and the gold tabby remembered Shatteredpaw fondly.
She padded over to Laurelpaw, looking down at her warmly. "Congratulations," The tabby she-cat mewed. "You've already met me, Laurelpaw, so I suppose there isn't a need for introductions." Sunshadow could only hope that Laurelpaw was as eager to learn as when she was a kit. "Your training will start tomorrow morning at sun-rise."

Laurelpaw blinked, equally as confused as Pikepaw was when when was named to have a new mentor. A new mentor? But what had happened to Fallenstar. She had made an effort to figure out who most of Thebes's cats in the clan were, even if she never acctually met them, so she knew this cat giving the ceremony was a sernior warrior. She masked her emotions before confronted by her mentor though, nodded at her words. "Yes ma'am. I'll be up and really to go." she promised politely.

Redpaw sat up importantly, although he was a little bummed he'd have split a mentor with another apprentice. Whatever, I'm practically a warrior anyways, still, he couldn't keep himself from pouting a bit at the ceremony dragged on. He was quick to jump to his feet when the tom who was preforming the ceremony, Thornfrost he thought he might be called, finished. Redpaw skipped around, looking for his mentor. He gaze Laurelpaw a playful wink as he passed her by. "Azaleapetal!" the ginger tom called out in a sing-song voice, trying to deduce which warrior in the crowd the she-cat was.

Laurelpaw smiled at Redpaw, casting a quick smile to her new mentor before approaching the other cat. "Congrats on getting a new mentor. Hopefully you won't have to get another new one. That just ends up as a waste of time." she scrunched her nose up. She hoped she hadn't left re new mentor ubruptly, but she had deemed there wasn't nothing else that the other cats to would probably have to say.

Mintpaw scanned the crowd of cats multiple times, looking for the cat she would train with and her mentor. She was somewhat excited about training with another clanmate, as long as the cat didn't effect her own training. She would be friendly, however. Maybe they would grow a close bond? Probably not, the other cat had already had a mentor before. He was probably older than Mintpaw.
She couldn't find her mentor in the crowd, and after a while, she simply sat down and waited for Azeleapetal to approach her.

Ashtail Ash, now Ashtail, had accepted a warrior name, knowing living on her own would kill her. She wouldn't mind being called Ash, but she felt that having a warrior name wouldn't bother her. The blind feline nodded, "I do."

Azaleapetal was extremely surprised when Thornfrost called her name, and even more when she was given not one, but two apprentices to train. Swallowing uncomfortably at the sudden responsibility, she could only nod lamely to show she'd received the information.
As the ceremony ended, the pale ginger warrior held back, unsure about approaching the crowd of pure IceClanners. Slowly, steeling her nerves, she found both Redpaw and Mintpaw and gave them the same information-- training tomorrow, be ready. In a very blunt way, too. 'Well, now I can't be a lazy burden with Freezefeather, I suppose.'
