Fallenkit's eyes widened as she got her mentor. She hadn't been expecting her ceremony, but she gathered herself together in time for the next apprentice to be named. And it was Needlekit. Of course she would share a ceremony with the other kit. At least they didn't get the same mentor. Deciding to avoid the other apprentice, she made her way over to the cat who last have been her mentor. "Hi Willowleaf," she greeted with a dip of her head.

Needlepaw glared over at Fallenpaw, less that pleased to be sharing his apprentice ceremony with her. He would've rather just had it on his own. Still, he relished in what attention he got. The dark tabby stuck his tongue out at the she-cat once Arrowstar had finished speaking, then went to look for his mentor. Which one is Swanbreeze? he thought, looking over the gathered warrior curiously and waiting for the she-cat to approach him.

Willowleaf ears fluttered with excitement. They had just received an apprentice not that long ago, but Lilypaw hadn't been around much and their days had gotten boring. "Hello Fallenpaw," they purred gently, "looks like we'll be working together a lot from now on! I'll give you the rest of the day to get settled into your den. We start training at sun-high tomorrow, so make sure to get a good night sleep."

Fallenpaw nodded, catching a glimpse of Needlepaw at just to right time to catch him sticking out his tounge. She cast a disapproving glance his way, partially knowing that if her acted out it would be his doing and not reflecting badly on her. Sure she was partially taunting him, but he had started it while she was trying to act properly. She turned her full attention back to her mentor. "Sounds good." she's responded. (And this is the story of why Needlepaw and Fallenpaw will literally be on opposite sides of the den.)

"fallenpaw! fallenpaw! fallenpaw!" littlekit cheered, but she felt a pang of something unfamilar, something that soured her thoughts and twisted her insides. why wasn't i made an apprentice? the two of them, being twins, were both six months old, and yet... her slender shoulders drooped as she remembered her tiny size, and not for the first time. if it wasn't for their identical looks, no one would think littlekit and fallenpaw were littermates, let alone twins.
the small female swallowed the bitter lump in her throat, and trotted over to the newly-named fallenpaw, a wide smile on her face. "congratulations," she chirped, gently butting her sister's shoulder with her small head. "have fun training!" despite her envy, her pale brown eyes were warm, with their usual gleam of mischief. "i'll be there before long," she promised. "and then our nests can next to each other's, and we can train together, and we'll become warriors together!"

Fallenpaw greeted Littlekit with a small smile, though she too was saddened. She had wanted to become an apprentice with Littlekit. She had even wanted the same mentor. She pushed the feelings aside as she greeted her sister. "I'm sure you will. And nothing at all can stop you." she encouraged.

Swanbreeze The miniature feline flinched when her name was called, No, no, no! I... I can't mentor.. she thought, but despite that, walked up to the one known as Nettlepaw. "H-hello," she squeaked. "I'll... start y-your training.. tomorrow.. alright?" she said, trying to steady her voice as much as possible. My first apprentice.. let's hope he doesn't hate me?..

Needlepaw blinked when he finally spotted his mentor. Her? Is she actually a warrior? the tabby gave her a doubtful look, but figured that appearances could be deceiving. He continued to be less and less impressed as she spoke. "Alright," he mewed dryly. Altogether today was turning out rather disappointing; first having to share his ceremony with Fallenpaw, which had ruined his mood, and now his mentor seemed to have the courage as a kit. Needlepaw nodded a curt goodbye and padded towards the apprentices den. At least he'd be able to steal a nice nest.
