Crowkit was bored. Really bored. He had no interest in games or any of the normal things kittens did. He was much more interested in figuring out the behavioral patterns of cats and so and so forth. Information was infinitely more interesting to him. Though, he wanted immediate results at the moment. He sighed.
He walked across the nursery to some kit who wasn't paying attention to him and he bit them. Hard. He wasn't paying too much attention to where, but it was vaguely around the head-neck-ish area.

May had been focused on watching the cats around her and studying their emotions. She had always been good at figuring out what cats felt or if they were lying, and it was interesting to her that they were all perfectly content to play games. Of all things, games? Why? In her mind they were stupid time killers meant to keep younglings from thinking of acctual issues in life, so why did they just accept it. In a mental fit of rage over this, she whirled around just after another cat bit her. "What was that for?" she asked, hiding a half surprised and half angry look as she did so. She studied the other cat carefully. This cat had just randomly bitten her, noy even recognizing who she was. "And don't you say play fighting." she added, not wishing for a cat to asked her to play in the middle of a mental rant about how playing was stupid.

Crowkit watched the unknown kit's reaction. She'd seemed to be passively annoyed by something. He was only vaguely interested in whatever she'd been thinking about. Watching her face morph from that passive expression into shock and then into anger, still colored by shock... It was fascinating. Then she immediately jumped to assumptions. "What makes you think I'd say that?" He asked, making no effort to disguise his interest with how she responded to the violent movement. He could only hope his tone would not scare away his little source of fun. entertainment. It'd be inconvenient, to find another kit to experiment on.

(Sorry this is so short) May rolled her eyes. "Every cat wants to play games and they are mostly biting and scratching. Just distractions I'll say." she responded, shaking her head before calming herself down. "And that is how most kits act."

((It's cool.
Crowkit tilted his head. "I suppose you could call what I do a game... But really, I was just curious about how you'd react." He said, completely honest... And not sounding the slightest bit remorseful at all. "I'm not most kits."

May narrowed her eyes. "I see you aren't." she acknowledged his honesty. "You're not like other kits at all." when pondered, shaking her head after a moment. "I'm May." she said. "Or at least that's what cats call me. May or Rose."

Crowkit tilted his head to the other side. "And neither are you.... You're much more interesting." He purred softly. "May, huh? That's not a clan name. Why not tell me your full name?"

May wasn't sure how other cats would take such words, probably as a complement, but she simply shrugged in response. She was her. She didn't think of pointing such a thing out as a compliment rather than something worthy of complementing. She tilted her head at his next words though. "Because I don't like my full name." she responded. "I don't like having my name catagorize me with this bunch," she motioned to the other cats in the den, "So it doesn't. What do you like to be called?"

Crowkit tilted his head to the other side again. "I still want to know. Tell me." He pressed. He shrugged. "One day your name will be unique on its own. I'll be able to find out your name when you become an apprentice. What's the point in holding out on me now?" He asked. He weighed the pros and cons of giving his name. Hm... On one hand, he wanted to see what would happen if he withheld his name. On the other... If he gave his name, perhaps 'May' would be more amenable to giving her full name. "Crowkit." He said after a short silence.

May nodded. "I suppose, but then Ill be categorized with apprentices who don't spend their lives falling for tricks ment to keep their minds off of acctual things happening in the world." she responded, the gave a small shrug as Crowkir gave his acctual name. After considering for a moment she nodded again. "Maplekit."

Crowkit tilted his head again. "Hm, that's interesting..." He noted in a soft tone of voice. "You keep speaking of the activities most cats enjoy as distractions. Something that shouldn't even be relevant. It's fascinating, really..." He wondered how positive reinforcement worked, so he tried it. He smiled. "But, you prefer May, right?"

May nodded to both, the frowned. "You don't have to try to be positive and considering as it truly does appear you are working to be for me. I am me. I won't run from ruseness." she said, watching the other kits for a moment. "They play, they laugh, and then they beg to be treated like an older cat when they still plays games all day long. I'm sorry if they don't see that."

Crowkit tilted his head again as his expression fell back into interested neutrality. He hummed in response. "Perhaps I need to work on the genuineness of my expressions..." He muttered to himself. "I assume the games are encouraged by adults for exercise, so kits who become apprentices have some basis in order to develop the strength and stamina to keep up." He told her. He yawned. "I'm bored." He declared, then tried to jab May in the eye.

May shrugged. She had learned to read emotions and Crowkits were acctually better disguised than most cats. Imeadiatly when she saw the other cat's paw move she dodged though, moving into a defensive position naturally, ready to jump to the side, fight, or relax.

Crowkit hummed in response as May dodged. "You have better eyes than I thought." He said, though it sounded like he hadn't decided if he should be disappointed or not. "Were you expecting me to try and hurt you again?"
