Silverhawk returned to the large tree exactly when he planned to. Two smooth, black rocks were being carried carefully in his jaws. The tom set them down with care, then began scratching at the soft ground between two of the large roots. A small hovel was quickly uncovered, filled with more of the smooth stones. The two new ones he'd collected were placed inside, then covered tenderly. With his business taken care of, Silverhawk leaped for the trunk, his claws digging in to the soft bark. With a few quick hops he had reached his usual branch, and set about lounging himself in a comfortable position. The silver Abyssinian allowed his eyes to drift half shut, relaxing but not off his guard.

Luc walked through the canyon. He didn't like the dry air, but he felt like exploring the caves so he went anyway. He smelled like a kittypet as that was where he lived, in the Twoleg Place, but he wasnt. In reality he was an excellent fighter and acctually bothered making allies for when he needed them. He ducked down as he saw another cat who buried rocks under the ground, waiting a moment for the cat to climb up the tree before he joined him, easily making his way to a nearby sturdy branch. "Hello." he said in a childish tone as he ussually spoke in.

Silverhawk kept his eyes half-lidded as he sensed another cat close in. The tom remained motionless as the stranger first ascended his tree, then attempted a greeting. The voice seemed young, but forcefully so in a nasal kind of way. Silverhawk's eyes opened and thought he kept his expression neutral, he was curious. "Indeed," he replied with no movement to his features.
"Do you typically not wait for invitations, or was I simply lucky?" His tone wasn't confrontational, but curious. He considered the large tree to be his home, and indeed most of the area around it was scent-marked as his territory. He didn't like the idea of other cats simply walking over them, but was also not foolish enough to expect to defend the area alone. Most of the time he simply let the battles go.

Luc shrugged. "The former." he responded nonchalantly, looking around at the view from up in the tree. "You live here then? In this tree?" he asked, his head tilted to the side. He acctually hadn't ment to intrude on someone else's territory, but this other cat didn't seem to be aginst it. If they wanted to fight he would probably leave, and that went for most any cat, but that didn't seem to be the case here. "I'm Luc," he introduced after a moment.

Silverhawk twitched his ears in acknowledgement and turned his head away. Far be it for him to judge another for his nature then. "It's rude," he simply imparted, voice bland. He was rather uncaring in the matter and ready to put it behind him. There were more important things to discuss. His gaze raked over the tom critically, and Silverhawk wondered if perhaps he could be useful for his cause later on.
"When time permits me," Silverhawk said with a nod. Sometimes he had to be elsewhere, but when he was in the area, it was common knowledge that the tree was his territory. "My name is Silverhawk. It's a pleasure, Luc."

Luc was surprised by this other cat's name. "Are you a clan cat then?" he asked curiously, disregarding everything else this cat had said. "It would seem most clan cats would change their names though." (Sorry, short)

He'd expected the question. His name generally gave him away in that regard. "Sometimes." He didn't care to share too much of his history with Luc, but some trust was certainly necessary. In order to breed trust, a bit of sharing was first necessary. "I am a clan cat when time allows. I come and go as I please." Though with a new leader Silverhawk was no longer sure Iceclan would allow such a behavior.
"And you? You smell of twoleg place but you are certainly not a kittypet. A loner then. What brings you to my territory?"

Luc nodded, then tilted his head curiously. "How many homes do you have then? The clan, this place, and where else?" he asked. He had his own share of living in alternate places, but he was curious how many this cat had lived in. He wasn't sure if the other cat would share though, so he didn't really expect an answer and he carried on to respond to Silverhawk. "I am a lone kittypet." he shrugged. It was true, he spent half his time in the Twoleg Place and the other half being considered a loner, so he had created the title long ago.

Silverhawk chuckled, a more genuine smile appearing on his face. "Soon I hope to only have one." He had already begun putting motions in place to assure his new home would be open soon too, and looked forward to it. He had to admit, he'd never heard of a lone kittypet before, but the name seemed straightforward enough so he didn't have to guess at it's meaning.
"And have you ever been interested in joining a clan?" Silverhawk asked casually, narrowing his eyes.

Luc nodded. "Traveling all the time can get tiring." he mused. "No, I have never really considered joining a clan. I like the freedom of being able to go anywhere, and clan borders are like a prison." He knew it had probably come out of blunt or rude, but it was the truth about how he felt.

Silverhawk kept nodding his head as Luc spoke. His words were understandable, and the reason most loners were loners. Clearly his task was going to be harder than he thought. "Your words are true. Though there are also many benefits to a clan life." The silver tom picked up a paw and idly examined his front claws. "I am starting my own clan."

Luc's ears perked, and he was clearly intrested. "And how will this new clan work?" he asked. If the new clan had different rules than the others maybe it would be work joining.
