DawnkitCoyotekit was bored. He didn't want to play games like the other kits. He didn't get the point of joining in when really... Rough housing wasn't his style. He had more fun talking to cats like that nice chat he had with Scorpionkit the other day. Even if Snakekit had made things... Frustrating. He huffed. He turned his head to see his brother Dawnkit. He tilted his head and wondered. He didn't have much of a gauge on Dawnkit's personality. Well, one way to find out. He walked up from behind Dawnkit and sharply jabbed at the middle of his back. He smiled pleasantly. "Hey, brother."

Dawnkit was resting in one of the nests he shared with his siblings, not having the best of dreams. It was mainly the replay of seeing his dead father being brought into camp. But suddenly that image faded as a sharp pain on his spine.
The tom's pale eyes opened quickly, squinting shut from the sudden burst of light from outside the nursery. Groggily sitting up and shaking his long fur, Dawnkit looked over at the cat who stopped his dream. "Oh. It's you," he meowed, sounding almost unimpressed. "What's up, Coyotekit?" he asked with a yawn.

Coyotekit had apparently woken up Dawnkit from a nap. Not that he felt particularly remorseful, he couldn't talk his brother if he was asleep, after all. It took a while for Dawnkit to wake up, but Coyotekit was patient. Well, usually. He faked a look of hurt.
"What? You don't want to see me?" He asked, sounding hurt. But the expression and fake tone of voice was dropped. "I'm bored." He declared. "So, Dad's dead. How do you feel about that? His cold, lifeless body. Never to be warm again, trapped under a covering of dirt." He said casually, seeming to not care about his morbid wording.

Dawnkit shrugged as if it didn't really matter to him. He saw Coyotekit enough that it wouldn't bother him if he had let him sleep. In fact, he preferred it... "And waking me up will cure that?" he asked with a small snort.
"Hey. We're not going to bring that up," the tom snapped harshly, throwing icy blue daggers at his brother. Dawnkit had enough with that vigil that he didn't want to think about it anymore.

Coyotekit shrugged. "I hope it will." He responded. He wasn't good at entertaining himself, so he got other cats to kill his boredom. He didn't really care how he accomplished it, he just wanted to not be bored anymore.
"Really? Because I just did. C'mon. Don't deny the truth like Snakekit is." He snorted. His brother who enjoyed teasing everyone around him was the biggest liar he'd met.

Dawnkit merely snorted at his brother, shaking his head and sighing. He just wanted to sleep... it felt like he got no time to rest, even though he did.
"I'm not denying the truth. I don't want to talk about it." Moron... Dawnkit gave his brother a dark glare. "If you want to talk about that, find someone else. I'm going back to sleep."

Coyotekit tilted his head. "Snakekit's in denial, I don't like Saltkit, and I'm still upset at Weaselkit for being a killjoy." He said bluntly. "You're the only one left who'll be interesting." He tilted his head again. "You don't want to talk about it because it's unpleasant to you, right?"

Dawnkit gave his brother a narrow-eyed look. "Seems like I can't let you down, but I'm not going to please you just for your sake," he said. He wanted his own fun too. If that meant Coyotekit found him boring, so be it. "It's because it's annoying since that's what everyone has been talking about."

Coyotekit stuck his tongue out at Dawnkit briefly. "You're not nearly as entertaining as I thought you'd be." He huffed. "You don't have to consent to be entertaining." Scorpionkit had clearly not enjoyed his behavior, but had still been great fun. He rolled his eyes. "Eh. I don't really care. I just wanted to see what you'd do."

Dawnkit mimicked his brother's movement. "Aw, poor baby," he said, giving him a sneer. "I suppose for you, yes. But other cats would see that as rude," he muttered with a snort. "Are we just going to chat about a dead cat the whole time? C'mon, if you want to talk to me so badly, talk about something more interesting."
