Luc walked through the fields. He wasn't exsactly sure what he had been after in coming. Maybe just a walk or maybe to acctually be somewhere where other cats acctually exsisted. He lived in the kittypet place, and there were cats there, cats he would defend, but he lived in an area of the Twoleg Place that she found few others bothered to go. Kittypet a were to soft to walk directly into shadows, and other cats typically stayed away from the Twoleg Place all together. He spent plenty of time elsewhere though. He smelled of his home, but he was in no way a kittypet other than appearances. His violet eyes were something bred into him by scientists, and his long brown fur was soft as would be of a normal kittypet. As childish as he looked though, there were many scars hidden by his fur. He knew how to fight, and well, although he never used his skills unless he couldn't get someone else to fight for him. And ussually he could. Carried away in his thoughts, he didn't notice the other cat until he was close enough to smell them, and in such an open expanse that ment they could tell he was there too. Giving a boyish smile, he turned and approached the other cat.

paradox was hunting. it was her favourite thing to do, and, besides, she needed something to pass the time if not feed herself. deep in concentration, her slitted gaze was fixed on her prey and nothing else. until she caught a whiff of cat. she spun around, prey forgotten, unsure of his intentions. he certainly didn't look like a threat. if anything, he looked like a kittypet. he smelled like a kittypet. she wrinkled her nose, not bothering to conceal her distaste.
paradox gave him a wide smile. she wasn't looking for a fight, and, besides, he didn't look as if he was either. might as well make small talk, find out why he was here, and be on her way. "exploring?" she questioned, only a slight raise of her brow indicating her amusement. really, that was her only fault; it was impossible for her to hide what she was thinking. her smile widened. "you're not from around here, are you?"

Luc shrugged. "More like mindlessly walking." he responded, taking a moment to answer the seemingly simple answer that came next. "Im not from 'around' anywhere. My technical home is in the Twoleg Place and I was born there, but I spent more time away than in the Twoleg Place." he responded, noticing, and not for the first time, how easily he gave out information. He decided he simply figured the information didn't affect him, and other cats couldn't really tell what his strengths and weaknesses were by knowing where he lived sometimes.

paradox tilted her head quizzically, but said nothing. he seemed smart, and it wouldn't do for her to make a smart enemy. her interest was piqued as he went on. a fellow loner, huh? wouldn't have known. "the best of both worlds?" she wondered, with a sideways smile. "or is it more hassle than it's worth?" for her, it would be simply impossible to live that way, in two worlds and everywhere in between. and for what? free food?
everything was black and white for her, either right or wrong, and living that way was certainly wrong. her tail twitched with uncertainty, and she gave an uneasy smile. "so, what are the benefits of living that way?" she questioned. "who knows, you might just convert me." her eyes gleamed almost playfully, as if she thought it was all a big joke.

"Nope." Luc responded, shaking his head. "I live there because then I can tell how judgemental someone is. It says a lot about one if they will go into the Twoleg Place. Especially in the area where I live." That was his reason, odd as it seemed. "Well, and there are less threats. But the ones that do exsist I try to help the kittypets with," he added wugh a chuckle.
