Under the Clouds [Sky]

[Beast]

Sky

Beast sat on the fence, watching the sheep with wonder. He had never been to a farm before, but he had seen sheep once before. It was amazing to watch them roam through the open field, calmly eating grass. He wasn't sure why itwas fascinating. But his claws worked on the fence. He knew it was dangerous, but part of him wanted to startle the sheep and run among them. He wanted to run. His fur prickled. He never had really played a kit. Part of that energy was coming back to him now, wanting to run and play in the field.

[Sky]

Sky slinked calmly through the herd of sheep, staying low to the ground and moving slowly. The sheep didn't mind her much, and as long she she didn't startle them everything would be fine. She used to live near a farm, so she understood the strange creatures fairly well. Her nose twitches as she caught the scent of another cat. She could hear his claws scraping the fence, and the sheep were getting anxious. She moved through them faster, hoping he wouldn't do anything stupid and scare them. She didn't exactly enjoy being trampled.

[Beast]

Beast suddenly spotted another cat and forced himself to relax. He could see the sheep getting anxious from the sound of his claws scraping on the wood and immediately stopped. He calmly waved his tail in greeting, remaining silent for the time being until she was clear of the sheep.

[Sky]

Sky, being blind and all, didn't notice the friendly gesture. Although, the sheep settled once the noise stopped. Sky bounded away from the creatures, nearing the fence. She lifted her front paws off the ground, whiskers twitching. She felt around for the end of the fence so she knew how high to jump, though she couldn't seem to reach it. Settling back down, she called up to the tom. "If you weren't up there I would think you would have a death wish, creeping the sheep out like that." She snarled, digging her claws into the grass. Hopefully he responded, that way she could judge the height of the wooden fence and jump on, away from the sheep.

[Beast]

Beast realized she was blind and felt awful about the tail wave. He then heard her next statement and felt his fur shrink with embarrassment. "I'm sorry," He said honestly. "I've never really seen sheep before. I mean, I have once, but that was a long time ago. I didn't know." He wasn't one to get into conflicts, nor was he one for arguments. He wasn't the type that liked to argue.

[Sky]

Sky let out a breath of air through her nose, ears swivelling. She bunched her legs up, leaping into the air. She landed beside him, nearly falling before she caught her balance. "Yeah, whatever." She snorted, not really believing him. How could he not have noticed the fact that the sheep were getting scared?

[Beast]

Beast's tail flicked. This cat was quite rude so far. He wasn't looking forward to the conversation that would most likely follow. He wasn't exactly sure what to say to her. Then he got an idea. "Do you live here?" He asked, trying to be friendly.

[Sky]

Sky flicked her ears back at the question. "No." She answered shortly. She would have asked him the same question back if it wasn't so obvious he didn't live here. For starters, he had only seen the sheep once, he would have known that she didn't live here if he lived here, and she caught a whiff of Deathclan on his pelt. "You're a deathclanner, right?" She questioned, though her voice sounded certain.

[Beast]

Beast was silent for a moment before answering, "For now." He wasn't sure what his future held, but he knew that DeathClan was not the place he would stay. "I don't plan to stay much longer." He admitted.

[Sky]

"Why not?" Sky pressed, ears flicking forward with slight curiosity. She wasn't so sure how long she was planning on staying, though she didn't think she would be there forever. It was a decent place, but not the best either.

[Beast]

"I just don't seem to fit in. DeathClan is a struggle for power. Cats want the leadership position and will stop at nothing, not even murder, to get it. If you even look like a threat to another cat's position, you best sleep with one eye open," He said. "Besides, I was invited to join another group. A small one, but one where we can look after each other. There is no murder, no competition. And soon, when the Clans leave, we'll take over the remains of their territories and build our own Clan. No murders, no leaving a cat to starve, no kits beind abandoned." His voice trembled on the latter but then he regained himself. "A place where everyone is taken care of."

[Sky]

Sky turned her ears in his direction, showing that she was listening. She kept her face emotionless, though curiosity lingered. What was he talking about. "Who were you invited by? What's the group called?" She questioned, shuffling around slightly on the fence. In a group like that, so soft and stupid, she could easily take over if she wanted to.

[Beast]

"A former Clan cat named Silverhawk. We're going to make our own Clan. LakeClan," Beast said. "He's going to be the leader, quite obviously. I don't know much about the Clans, but I heard a rumor that their leaders have nine lives. I don't think I really believe that. It sounds almost impossible. But I'll follow Silverhawk anyways. He's a good cat. Level head." Beast might've sounded like a featherheaded idiot, but secretly, without revealing it, he was a pretty smart cat. He had an ounce of an idea of what Sky was thinking.

[Actually, LakeClan is a real plot going on, and if it gets enough members, it's gonna be a real thing!]

[Sky]

(That sounds cool!)

Sky huffed in unamusement, her nose scrunching in disbelief. "Yeah, and sheep fly." She didn't believe that a clan like that could kick off, it sounded unrealistic.

[Beast]

(It's fine if you post short! I'm just scrambling to get a few things done anyhow)

"It will be hard to set up a Clan," He admitted. "But I'm willing to try anyhow. I want to accept the challenges and meet them head on. If you cower away, there's no point in living."
