Calista giggled at the look in his eye. "I wasnt thinking of ruling myself. Mom and i agreed neither of you would be the best for the throne though. Thunderfrost was our choice." she shrugged. He had liked her, she knew, but she had never returned his feelings. She did respect his leader like qualities though, and he would have ruled better than them.

Thunderfrost? Was she kidding? Loki sat down with a small thud. "Why is he so great?" he asked her. Was there something going on between them, a long time ago? But then, why did their mom also support him? All these unsaid questions circled through head.

"He has the qualities of a leader. More so than you. Even if he could be... forceful of his opinions."

Loki always remembered Thunderfrost as this big, pushy cat who wanted his way a lot. Sometimes he could be a little charming, but he mostly just tried to get the girls. It was obvious Cali saw something different than he did, but he ended up saying, "He's probably the leader now, anyway."

Calista shook her head. "He's dead. I had to take care of other stuff when I went back anyway, and that's one thing I learned."

gates of gold "They didn't tell you where me and Gray where?" he asked. Maybe they also thought me had died.

"Who's they? I only asked-" she cut herself off and shook her head. "If the whole clan knew I was there? I would technically be the only acctual royal blood left that they've have access to and I would have to take up the position of queen, and trust me, I don't want a mate."

"Oh," Loki said simply. It was a reasonabke response. She didn't want to be queen, and they would probably make her, since she was heir.
"So do you know who leads? Or is there no leader?" He thought it would be weird if there was no leader. The clan was a clan of warriors, and they looked for a leader, unless they changed.

Calista shrugged and her gaze traveled down. "Only Shadowstrike," she muttered. She had always liked Shadowstrike, but neither Greyfang or Loki thought him worthy of her affection. It brought up many fights that her parents had to break up, the worst of all being between her and Greyfang just before the fire. It was one that Loki had acctually broken up, though she was sure it wasn't because he took her side. (I have made her full history. It's long though. Short story length...)

Loki held back a scowl. He nor Grayfang liked Shadowstrike much. Loki always thought him as the perfect pet, always doing what others loved. He was worse than Gray, but he was a quieter cat. Well, it seems as if that had changed.
But Loki knew how Cali had felt about him. He raised his chin slightly, and asked her, "And you wouldn't want to be queen with him?" All this talk of someone taking their rightful heritage was starting to agrivate him. He had wanted to throne, and Grayfang had always proved himself worthy in the dumbest ways. Then, he was crowned heir, and Loki couldn't stand him much longer. How one fell apart in the shadows of one greater than himself. Then, Gray nearly turned away from the crown after the fire. Loki had lead, but barely long enough. His mother didn't seem to approve of it. One son who wanted the throne too much, and one son who didn't want it at all. And now, Loki could see that their father also had a daughter who neglected leadership.

Calista shook her head. "I've been fondness to long. If I came back from the dead they would l be skeptical and I would have to many enemies to acctually rule well. Plus it would be a major change to have a queen after so long. I do think I'm going to go back and check in on them every now and again. Maybe if I get the rumors going enough they won't hate me for coming back."

"I wonder what would happen if I returned," Loki said, more to himself than Calista. Though, he already knew the answer to that. They would welcome him, congratulate him, and perhaps crown him as last heir and king. But secretly, under it all, they would wish she hadn't returned. Loki noticed the looks they gave him, but he wanted to prove to them that he was a better leader. He especially wanted to prove his father. ((i have this old warriors website that we could use as our old home. i'll set it up now, just in case. here's a link: skaebne.proboards.com/))

Calista gave Loki a glare. "I didn't stay because it would uproot their lives to have another ruler. A whole new king in total? Someone would kill you before you made it." (Yeah, that looks good)

Loki seriously doubted that someone would be able to kill him that easily. He shrugged. It might be better for them if he stayed away, anyway.
((i created a seperate 'clan' for them, but i wasn't sure what to call it. lets just say this was before the fire burned everything))

"Loki. One of two couldn't kill you. You wouldn't be able to take on five of the best warriors they have. That is likely what awaits you if you return." she warned, just to be clear. (Great.)
