(It's bothering me now.) Chasity tilted her head, almost thinking the cat had said winner for a moment. Good thing she also lip read so she knew last what she heard. "Nice to meet you Winter," she smiled.

| "A nd what is yours?" he asked her in return. Hopefully she was like him and didn't like to hide her name, nor identity. He was simply tired of hiding, and he wanted cats to know he wasn't what he seemed.

(Winter is almost exsactly like the second main character in Chasity's book.) "I am Chasity," she introduced with a small flick of the tail. "You can call me Cassie." (Let's say She hadn't said that before.)

| W inter mindlessly flicked his tail when she did. He hadn't even seemed to notice that he did, but it must've been a reaction from watching her.
"That's nice, Cassie," he said, trying it out. He wasn't sure if he could believe that it was her real name, but looking her over, she didn't seem like the lying type.
i swear i've never read your book before, but thats pretty funny |

(It really is...) Chasity tilted her head slightly. "Where do you come from?"

| W inter sighed. He looked deep into her blue eyes, remembering something he had learned in training. White cats with blue eyes were mostly deaf, but not all. Apparently that stat was correct, and Cassie was one of the lucky white cats. He had always known them as the easy ones to attack.
"I come from somewhere you wouldn't know of," Winter said. He finally shook off the memories and forced himself to focus on her eyes.

With the momentary pause, Chasity's mind had traveled and she barely caught his response. "I could say the same about myself." she shrugged.

| "A t least we have something in common," Winter ventured. His face was unreadable, his expressions masked under years of pain and learning to keep his features closed off. He nearly never smiled, or cried, or even raised his eyebrows at something. He was virtually unreadable.
Maybe he was starting to pick up on why others thought him creepy. He tried softening his cold gaze a little, but he was sure it did nothing to his menacing appearance.

"Two things she corrected with a warm smile. "We both don't like blood."

| W inter nodded. They did have more than one thing in common, but two wasn't that many. He stood up to his full height, muscles rippling a bit.
"Would you like to go somewhere else?" he asked her. If not, he would sit back down, but at the moment, he needed a little stretch.

Her attention drawn away from his words by the fact the other cat was standing up, she didn't hear his words. Her gaze flickered over him quickly. He was obviously a good fighter, even if he didn't seem to fully want to admit it.

| W inter gave a good stretch, digging his claws into the dirt. Then, as Cassie didn't respond, he asked again. Maybe she was a bit hard of hearing.
"Would you like to go somewhere else, or stay here? I'm okay with both," he asked calmly. He felt his face trying to make a smile, but it wasn't coming.

This time Chasity was focused and heard the words and nodded. "Where else is there really to go?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.

| W inter gave a quick glance around the area. He knew a few places to go, but he wondered if she would like them. He knew there was a small stream with a few flowers growing near the bank.
He began to pad away. "Follow me," he said, heading toward the stream. The water was clear, and cool, but not too cold. He was wondering if she'd like the flowers.

Chasity followed the other cat, her eyes lighting up when she saw the flowers. (Short)
